I went to GB yesterday, it was ok for8.5 weather, direction was great being S. If its south again it should be even better today given the forecast
Maximus went to Queens. Picked up about 3.00 to 3.30 enough to go but didn't get motivated. Probably good enough for 6.5 -7.0. There was only one brave soul Jo who got into the cold water.
Yer all soft I tells ya. SOOOOOOFFFFTTTT!!!!
Is no-one going to help me lift SEQ out of the mire of second last? Tell me that someone sailed today. Please?
Hey salty, yeah I had a chat to Jo as well, must have just missed you, she said you are gr8 at rigging ![]()
Jo, hope to c u at Windwanderers ![]()
Nebs, went for a sail in sub planing conditions, 5 to 10 knts. If you want me to log my track you'll have to make it worth my while, as I reckon I'll post the slowest speed for the whole year ![]()
Hey Haggar,
We're so far down the rankings that any score will help us I think! Post away, the worst that can happen is that we don't change our score. I'm pretty sure we will change though.
I can't wait until we get the "top 2" scoring system happening... then there's never any question of whether you should post or not.
I'm looking forward to racing season, and september speed runs. This winter fells like the longest already. AHHHH. Will start going on holiday to warmer climates starting next year to break the drought.![]()
hi guys,
pebble beach in a westerly is a no go zone. you also need a mid to high tide. works best in a SE or S. Pebble beach is worth it though. nice and flat.
In a westerly try Bellara past the fish market up near Sylvan Beach. Peter N was the one that showed me around bribie so have a chat with him too.
should we book this weekend for a team SEQ speed meet. i will be able to bring along a bbq and give aways.
i was thinking bongaree? nebs can't do sunday so we should aim for saturday.
i'll also have a tandem speed board there. plus the speed proto is out of the shop post tweaks and the new viper is yet to get wet.
all of course available for everyone to enjoy. all i need is a really fast sail.
something like a 6.6m Koncept.
any ideas fitz. i'll see if i can source a couple more Koncepts too.
Yeah, saturday sounds good. I heard there is a flat spot behind a bank at the southern end of Bribie, has anyone tried it? Its meant to work in a westerly.
Not sure about Saturday yet, I will try my best. I see they have downgraded wind for today. See you all soon.

i wish haircut. bloody work!!! today was a fizzer again hey? what's up with that?
so teamSEQ.
saturday at the wanderers meet i reckon. should give the opportunity for the last effort for the month.
see you there.
no worries salty. next meet is not to far around the corner and it's at redcliffe [}:)] i'd still like to get out sunday too. I just can't promise ![]()
Redcliffe great. I have a wave board I been dying to try out. Still waiting for a good southerly to get me out on it.
What an Autumn this year. Very few strong Southeries. hopefully we'll get a stong westerly (on the weekend) with the in coming tide. We could have a windwanders at the Caloundra bar. Great spot in those conditions. perfectly flat water between the swell.
low tide is 3pm. from memory,
so bumpy when it is heading out and then flat when it turns. gongaree only gets full on when the SE's are blowing against the tide. tomorrow we got WSW so things won't be to bad.
maybe. ![]()
Monday is my only chance for that weekend. Hope the day the green arrows are up like Sunday. East as well. Golden beach dream wind.
