I don' know I only mentioned Rocky hoping to wind you up. You're not living next door to Mark are you?

Ha. I still smile when I watch these. I think I learnt more about Perthian's biases and what the suburbs are really like from these videos.

In the news a few months ago some idiot was charged with threatening the Premier and his family, so someone must know where he lives, but its not next door to me.

Half the reason the government wants us to open up is to get the planes off the ground again.
Billions and billions of dollars of planes globally that are not being maintained properly as their is no income.... just sitting in hangars and open air runways with bearings rusting and fuel lines clogging up...
I will be happy when we open up for sure once everyone is vaccinated but I certainly will not be getting on a long haul flight for at least 6-12 months after once all the planes have had money spent and maintenance done on them.

Im serious you want to jump on a plane from Australia to London that's had 2 flights in 24 months ....

You have absolutely no idea of aircraft maintenance and how it is carried out. There is scheduled hourly maintenance and calendar maintence. If the aircraft flys 10 hours, certain maintenance must be carried out, but even if the aircraft doesn't fly, every week, month etc the calendar maintenance must be carried out.

I'm an aircraft maintenance engineer, there hasn't been any downtime for engineers during lockdowns, crews are still running aircraft weekly and carrying out maintenance as required. The aircraft are in better condition now than before the pandemic as the crews have time to get all the faults fixed.

Hahahahaha, awesome take down of an armchair fearmongering know nothing

Well done!

,,So what you're saying is, that Covid was just a smokescreen to get the 737max back in the sky without the need for FAA or CASA approval.
FAA approval and TGA covax approval delivered concurrently?! Coincidence...I think not.,,

It's nice to know that planes parked up in Australia are being serviced.
Unfortunately there is a lot of planes that are not parked up in Australia or maintained in Australia in fact there is a whole world of countries with planes parked up.

As an engineer you would be well aware of the recent scandals prior to COVID of document and maintenance forgery by other countries engaged to perform maintenance on Australian planes?

Surely your not that naive to believe that all countries are not busily forging maintenance documents to planes which have sat idle for 12-24 months.

Oh dear, we are going down the conspiracy spout again?

What are you saying though, that there was no need for FAA or CASA approval, or that they were both granted? One or the other.

I googled it and I am a bit surprised that the plane is allowed to fly again, but I guess its in Boeings interest to get it on track. Not that they would be in on a conspiracy that sees their orders cancelled where possible and demand drop significantly, and that's on top of the bad press for the 737Max. I am not sure I would want to fly on one for a while until they are proven.

Mind you I guess they have to iron out the problems instead of trying to get a plane out the door in a hurry.

Nah I do. I have most of my family in NSW, and some n Qld. I would like to visit them, but I can skip a year. They have phones and I talk to them regularly.

I do feel guilty though that WA is quite open at the moment, but I have no interest in being locked down either.

Going to be over two years soon (with no end in sight) since the grandparents have seen their grandkids etc. Pretty easy to not worry about skipping a year when you're young and healthy... And FaceTime just can't replace actual face time.

The US gets it -- vaccinated = opening borders. Otherwise what's the point?

Here in Spain lots of people vaccinated and life looks kind of normal back again. With some care, but we can move anywhere.

Don't just quote the premium locations, there are other, not so exclusive suburbs too.

There were about 10 or so kites out yesterday in 'Rockingham' so it can't be all bad. They all seemed to be in wetsuits though, so they can have it for the moment.

There was also at least one windwing, but we needn't talk about that.

Should these guys get fined? if so, what sort of fine?

It's just a matter of time before WA gets an outbreak, it's happened in every other corner of the world.

Get vaccinated, keep digging holes and celebrate your rich local musical talent - the virus is coming.

Incorrect bro.

Where in the Wikipedia article are the words "Freemantle", "Perth", "Western Australia"?

The reason WA, incorrectly, adopted AC/DC is because of the cultural cringe. There is enormous shame in being associated with artists like Rolf Harris and San Cisco.

As a parent, myself. I feel for all WA parents having that difficult discussion with their children. Telling them which State of Australia they were born in. It's very sad.

Some children are so traumatised they end up just living there.
