How's everyone's crystal ball looking for tomorrow morning?

Do you reckon we should postpone it till Wednesday and be sure of that big southerly coming through?

Can only get one morning off this week...

normally i miss these events due to work....

the flu that keeps on keeping on will mean that i'll be home one day this week looking after the sick kids. with high tide at 5pm there may be an option for some fun after the change of shift.

don't have any speed gear for 35 knots so i'll be on the fish and the 5.3 kult. [}:)] might use the winch to rig it.

gotta go to noosa on the weekend for a kids party. the better half suggested i should get a saturday arvo session and sunday morning session at lake cootharabah!!!! forecast looks good at this stage. she's one in a million........

anyone keen for the lake?

That doesn't sound good mate.
I was wondering what happened to ya.
I was keeping an eye on ya, thought you were waiting for that massive gust to subside.
there were some good gust coming though prob 35knots at times but then nothing.
I ended up with a display max of 39.55, I wont know my peak until I get home tonight.
I don't think my av was that great had to bear off into the chop nasty stuff it was.
Great to see some keen guys Nebs and Hagger out before 7.00am this morning.
Back at work by 10am just in time for my meeting.

Epic day for the wrong reasons Unrolled my 5 metre that I had'nt used since xmass when I had a huge stack and found the top batten broken. Hmmmm must inspect gear more carefully. Oh well had to use it anyway. Got a bit close to the bank looking for some flat water to bear away on. Found a sand bank at over 30 knts. I reckon I had the longest catapult ever and should be in the guiness book of records. I remember thinkin - I'm glad I wore my helmet !!! After the slam I could not move my left leg and there was a huge lump on the back of my calf muscle. Thought my leg was broke. After a few minutes feeling returned and the lump went so must have been a muscle spasm. My loft boom looks like an S bend, so time for a new one. The broken batten wore a hole in the batten pocket, so now need a sail repair.

Vando hooked across the corner of the bank and got some good peak speeds going broad, but the chop looked pretty scary. Thought about following him but not quite ready for that yet.

Anyways did a 32 knt max which I think is my best in QLD so well worth the effort.

Mate sounds like it was a survival season.

Check your GPS logs you may be able to calculate how far you have been catapulted.
My record stands at 20m.

Well done on the PB Haggar, I wish I had my GPS with me so we could post some times on the challenge site! I hope Gestalt gets out thisafternoon so your times count.
Those banks bite, especially when it's not fully low tide, they're pretty shallow for a long way out... but I guess you know that now.

Also top job Vando, especially with an asymmetric that was for the wrong tack! Unbelievable.

I was waterstarting and got hit by a 35 knot gust at just the wrong time, my harness hook slammed into the board and I think that's when I hurt the ribs. Got a ding in the board from it as well But the smile on my face from finally getting some time on water? Priceless

Now if we can just have these conditions every weekend we'd get used to them

how awesome was today.

30-35 knots with gusts pushing near 40. went out on the 5.3 wave sail and the 95lt fish with a 20cm wave slot. it was pumping. i was so overpowered!!!! should have been on an 85 lt board and 4m sail (which i don't have)

only managed 3 back and forths before the battery died in the gps so i got a 25 something on the gps.

to be honest, today was out of control. even 4.2 sails were killing people. i am still smiling. don't really think i went any faster than 26-27 knots.

today is why i love windsurfing. farrkk it was awesome. i was so out of control,

couldn't sheet in. couldn't gybe. couldn't keep the board on the water and couldn't stop

just checked the weather station... it's backed off a bit. only gusting up to mid 30's now.

Well done Haggar, too bloody wild up here, I had a sail on Pete's 70 ltr wave board with 4.2. Out of control, he has his lines way shorter than me, footstraps too tight etc. Wiped out and twisted my foot in the straps ouch, I needed the 3.7 I used to have in the UK. Hope the rib heals soon Nebs.Weekends looking good if I can walk again.

Ha ha false alarm Haggar, only badly bruised I think... well at least I could sleep last night, which wasn't the case last time I cracked some ribs! Still hurts whenever I breathe deeply so something's not quite right... won't stop me this Saturday though, I've got my GPS back as well [}:)] just hope this wind hangs around until then!

Gestalt -- spoken like a man who was there Couldn't sheet in, couldn't get the harness lines right, could hardly keep the board on the water... yep that sounds about right!
