I think unless you have dead flat water it's almost impossible to sail really fast unless you are in that small elite class
sorry guys,
noosa is out for me. apparently it has some issues with flooding and stuff. seems it took a pretty bad hit from our friend the wind.
so most likely the goldy for me now. but i am still trying to convince the familly that the bar will be firing on sunday and i should be there to experience it ![]()
will let you's know but at this stage i may be joining the guys on the goldy. either way i will sail both days.
I wouldn't, not with the sewage pipe bursting at caloundra and flowing into the passage for most of today.
Gb will be ok, use your turd eater fin and close your mouth if you fall in. Gotta do a quote on some fallen trees in the morning, should be down there by midday Haggar.
Good job on the 33.7 MK, I don't think anyone else from the team was out today. Do it again tommorrow
Hopefully i'll back it up tomorrow, if the wind stays in that is. I'll head to VP as well so I'll get lots cleaner wind.
had a good session today guys all by my lonesome at VP.
10-14 knots SE fully powered on the formula kit from redland bay right across the the bank and on to coochie. very enjoyable session.
sailed for about 3 hours without a break. a record for me. stopped because my feet cramped and my toe hurt. (i need a hug) ![]()
hey mk, i just noticed you pipped pierre yesterday. well done [}:)]
Hey Gestalt,
If you can lend me a boom (and maybe a formula board or fin) I'd be up for it...
If we're really really quick we might get team SEQ to be top of the table for an hour or two...
hi nebbian,
i got a couple of 70cm fins i can lend but no spare boom or board.
if you want you can take my gear for a spin. i hope to be there about 2.30
other choice is to take the viper. 120t 75 wide. would be good for you in 10-12 knots plus i got a 48cm MFC for it.
Bugger, I broke my boom last weekend and my new one gets in next Wednesday...
Thanks for the offer, but without a boom I'll have to give it a miss this weekend ![]()
hey nebbian i just remembered there is 2 aloy booms i the windsurfing library.
i'll let you know how long they are later tonight. ![]()
hi nebbian,
got you sorted if your keen mate.
i have 1 aluminium wave boom 165-190 approx and an aluminium sunshine slalom boom 165-210.
both are clamp booms but don't have the pivot heads. bit rough around the edges but still ok.
i'll also be at the WQ season starter bbq on sunday at manly so if your keen all is good.
cheers
Ah you're a legend Gestalt!
Bring the slalom boom to the WQ meet, I'll go on a mission to get my 37 fin back off Wet Willy, hopefully we can put some runs on the board on Sunday!
See you there ![]()
Hmmm... belay that boom... (Just looked at the forecast)
But I hear Simon cooks a good snag, and I imagine you can join up to the WindWanderers as well as Windsurfing Queensland on the day, am I right?
*Here's some secret code for the Qld Boys*
My new BIG boom for lower WIND gets in on WEDNESDAY, and HOPEFULLY it will last longer than the old one did. First time I've had a boom let go on me, all I can say is I'm glad it didn't happen a week or two ago when it was blowing 30 knots at VICTORIA POINT!![]()

Wednesday is out for me, I'm working in Buderim tomorrow morning so I think I may have to throw some sailing gear in with my work gear.
