Just checked the Scarb cam - trying to plan my day tomorrow - watch the GF with two teams I care less about - or look for an uncrowded surf...

Anyways... Scarborough looks about 6 inches and the only person I saw on two runs of the cam was a sole SUPer.

GROAN!

Im going to have a paddle on the big blue beast tomorrow down around that way, Pm me GPA if ya wanna meet up

Not sure... have just checked the cams again and it aint looking good! I was hoping for a point break further north, but 99% that won't be breaking with this swell...

BTW - 6'4" is not BIG - even if it does have a big M on it!

But even a BIG tank needs a swell above 6 inches to get it moving... or are you just taking it for a paddle - as in arm exercise!

I will go down and have a look with the tanker, mate that thing could catch a ripple/boat wake no worries

There were a few nice waves at Trigg this morning, chest to shoulder on the sets and not too many out. I think the swell increase caught most by surprise.

Went out at a northern beachie after seeing 25-30 odd surfers on the bank at Trigg seconds... Looked quite good but I could not be bothered with the crowd.

Started at the very northern end - which was quite inconsistent (and very weedy) - but some fun chest to shoulder high waves if you were patient. Best part was there was next to no one out when I was there. Ended up moving 150m further south and scored three nice waves to finish the session...

Arms dead after 1hr 20min and a bag full of small waves.

Yea I paddled out at 2nds.. Lasted about 30 minutes before giving up. Same 5 guys getting every wave. At least 5-10 guys paddling for each wave, lots of drop ins.

The bank was lookin awesome though! Just not worth battling the crowds

Rode from Sorrento to City Beach - although the NW was in, it was light in patches. Tom's and Mettams and other places that usually handle a touch of seabreeze were not working well at all...

A couple of patches along the Trigg and Scarb section had some decent waves in amongst the wonk 'n' wobble of a 4knt seabreeze. Good bank in front of the Trigg Island Cafe with only two lids on it...

Even saw a solo SUP out at Watermans bay which was FULL of weed!

Dropped into my usually on Sunday at gentlemen's hour. Had the point all to myself until 5 mates (just in boardies) decided to sit just down from me and have a drop in competition to themselves. Funny to watch but was glad they didn't venture over to me.

Bit of weed around and even had a small school of fish use me as a fad and wouldn't leave my legs and board alone. That was a bit unearthing..

Okay few waves especially if you were patient.

I was there 9:00 - 10:30 on Sunday... and had some fun. Yes, there's lots of weed - and YES, it is a bit concerning when those fish tickle your feet

Today is a disaster - only two desperados out at Trigg seconds trying to find a peak in amongst the mess - not even the usual pack of holiday teeny lidders at the usual onshore locations...

My fault it's sh!t - I took holidays for a lazy week of surf and sunshine!!

Some nice overhead peaks shifting around at Trigg Seconds. Quite shifty, but pure glass at 9:00am. Unfortunately, looked to be about 30+ crew out, with another 7 or 8 wettie-ing up in the car park and a surf school about ready to join them...

Headed north to another beachie - not much happening between Trigg and there...

Northern end was completely CHOKED with tonnes of weed - completely unsurfable...

Checked a reef break another km or so north - one mal and one SUP - and lots of rocks breaking the surface...

Went back to the southern car park of said beachie - was overhead, but whilst it looked like there were enough shoulders for a decent session, in reality I wasted an hour getting smashed by pitching lefts... wasn't just me - didn't see anyone get anything decent - but saw a few go over the falls...

Oh well - it was some exercise

Sounds horrible...

These warm days, decent waves, school holidays...hard to get a good bank that isn't infested.

Some good little peaks around, just checked it out on my lunchbrerak. Definately worth a paddle if the wind stays light. Saw a few groms getting sucky right handers through a rip section and punting off the shoulder. Woo Hooo

This morning looked the goods nice and early, a little straight but you gotta make do with what you got on ya doorstep, beats workin anyday!

Had a 4 hour holiday marathon at nth scabs/sth trigg - secret spot x. Good crowd early, bloody workers, but as they buggered off waves got better n better, really glassy in between rip action, lots of smashings handed out but some real gold in between, even when the nxt shift arrived at about 9, bloody schoolies, still got plenty good ones off the rips, super shifty so good chance to snare a few as everyone would paddle to where the last good one was caught!!!!

hope it happens again tomorrow
