around the 2 min mark

Don't like how the new system doesn't show the previous quote like it used to (but then it's nice to not have to scroll down a km every time).
So anyway... re:

and re:
Just after the 2 min mark.....

Tux this place is a joke. So called pros being towed into surf that even a weekend warrior could paddle into , so there is no excuse for all this jet ski ****. It is pure arrogance and the rest of the peasants can get ****ed according to them.

The powers to be should have been impounding the skis and charges should be laid. So dangerous and irresponsible in a place that is already a joke due to crowd numbers.

They are soft and ****ing spoilt. I'm more embarrassed by the arse lickers who defend their actions.

Hey if it was 10ft and you couldn't paddle out fine tow em in....otherwise **** off.

If its 10ft and you cant paddle stay home you got no place in teh lineup

Yep and mister stoopid who decides to do it anyway , gets belted backwards over the bank a few sets worth of times & takes half an hour to finally scrape out the back claret everywhere & just flops on the board farked entirely - a liability to the poor farkers out in that line-up have to get around not this black duck I watched the floggings

I was over last June/July and the jet skis were out it was all the pros and we were paddling.
it is illegal to operate a watercraft within 100metres of swimmers period.
i shut my mouth and watched the zoo but to be honest if you pulled that shot in west oz in double head waves not only would the whole line up hook into you for being a soft count but it is likely you may receive a bit of a touch up.
these guys get to surf around the world in a class locations and taking a ski out at one of the most crowded waves in the world is a recipe for disaster.
bunch of over privileged assholes.

if a punter can paddle and your a pro getting towed than you are a kook.....fact

It's the sweep not the waves size that's why they use skis so why not get whipped into a few, not that any of us would go out in that size I think we are older longboards so good luck to the Crew who scored epic Kirra

Yeah at least he gave it ago, once that place hits 3 foot on one of those lows the sweep will start to kick in, yesterday they were calling it 6 7 foot so that sweep would have been impossible unless your superman.

+1 Its not even big ffs, why would you need a tug for that sh1t. If anyone snakes or drops in on them its totally justified, that is ridiculous....but yeah the current is a bitch along there when it bigger. Getting tugged is just plain cheating.

Hey gents look I certainly kicked off about jet skis and towing.
me ranting doesn't help, but I have seen it over there and experienced being snaked by a ski several times at snapper n Kirra in waves which were 6 foot, yes the sweep was bad and yes it was hard work but it made it all sweeter to turn around and know you were the only one in position when a set came through, this was achieved by hard work years of surfing staying off the piss and early nights. Meanwhile johnny Utah is slipping round again to do another step off into a wave he can't paddle into.
imagine if everyone with a ski in snapper decided faark it I'm towing.
Good for the goose good for the gander 10-12 skis at snapper and cause everyone has already let it slide it's too late. One ski isn't going to end the world and I know that...
maybe im just livid as I've been on the receiving end of being singed by them, the funny thing is though that growing up on fishing boats we would drop a ski in and tow and still do now and than but it's all a couple mile offshore and where no one is around. Their are waves up and down the coast that can be pioneered and surfed by ski and know that maybe no one or a handful of other like minded crew have hit them.

there is several wave in wa maybe not heavy like the right but certainly big and certainly perfect that have a small crew of guys that surf them regularly some of which have been held by fishing families for two or three generations without being exposed and are paddled and towed.

they are the places skis belong.

Look I've already said too much ( it's a habit ask my wife)

anyhoo good read below and I apologise for kicking off I still want to come over this year to the land of the rights on my annual pilgrimage and I understand how people feel about blow ins ( I'm a local somewhere too)

recently surfed down south wa with a lad from caba and last time I was over there the locals at caba where cool too me I took my turn and waited, old mate blow in from caba was notified of this shown the entry exit point called into set waves and got given the green light.

we all travel and we have all been a local and felt the heat from them when travelling

anyway peace out rant over

Too right. (Did just see Sally Fitz do a nice snap though...) They must be pessimistic about the forecasts to send them out in this:

... not classic Snapper, but some good sections now and then. And some potentially good heats coming up if the surf behaves.
