I reckon he will be back fulltime and hes got another title in him for sure...his surfing is so sharp and fast...teh speed makes everything he does look that much better

Pipe is looking super fun this morning for the Volcom. More like a right hand point break with all that sand built up.

Its looking even better today. JJF is on next and will probably go nuts

Edit - he did go nuts ! Slater up now. Its absolutely pumping. Seth and Bruce just got 9's in the first few mins of the heat. Insane. Slater out.

Edit - Mason must be the funnest man in surfing.

Interesting times ahead

Yeah pretty close to the mark I reckon

I would like to see it run like this

10 events
5 Southern hemi, 5 Northern hemi
Events are drawn at random at the end of the preceeding event (Event run according to season 5 during northern autum/winter/spring, 5 during southern autum/winter/spring etc)
Top 10 surfers from the year before straight in
Top 5 money earners go straight in (So if Twiggy earns 100K on the BWWT he goes in or if Paige Almes wins 100K for wave of the winter she goes in )
Top 5 women straight in
Every month there is a 2 minute video clip competion top 10 vote getters go in

30 surfers - 6 x 5 person heats 45 minutes...top 3 progress...best 3 waves..all the way to the end

How awesome would that be everyone who surfs gets the opportunity if their good enough and if your voting someone in it means your more likely to watch.

Id say he's back to make more coin.. He is the ultimate marketing machine and he's entire year of he has made it very productive, and now will roll back in a sponsors dream. Smart people around him for sure. Personally i found the mens tour a bit too predictive the last few years. Lets hope this year gets a good shake up some how.

No more Samsung. Is the end of the world tour as we know it or the chance for Red Bull to step back into the mix. Should be intriguing the spin they put on it

Nah champion - you need either a tow out or ya going to be paddling for 10 minutes to just get past the sweep - and the sweep is strong & massive , it ends past the Ironman set up at N.K.

Southern Coastline is taking a hammering - Currumbin SC is copping it now big time , the banks will have a heap of sand & rubbish on them next week

Haha damage, I was watching the guys build this the other week.i shouldn't laugh but not a fan of the comp site construction time pre and post comp, blocking off streets and depleting car parks for weeks.

Get a bigger board...I nice 8'er or 9'er speed shape would of been perfect...I am literally dribbling over those lineup shots

Tux this place is a joke. So called pros being towed into surf that even a weekend warrior could paddle into , so there is no excuse for all this jet ski ****. It is pure arrogance and the rest of the peasants can get ****ed according to them.

The powers to be should have been impounding the skis and charges should be laid. So dangerous and irresponsible in a place that is already a joke due to crowd numbers.

They are soft and ****ing spoilt. I'm more embarrassed by the arse lickers who defend their actions.

Hey if it was 20ft and you couldn't paddle into them then fine tow em in....otherwise **** off.
