What year C4? I have an 11m 2011, and I love it on highest bar pressure setting. I might give the 2013 a go some time.

Same Kite 2011. Hasn't seen much use tho.
Will take me a while to get use to as the Kahoona has lots more immediate grunt. I'm looking forward to riding it and seeing for myself why so many people like them.

had a good ride today at primbee. quite a few guys out which was good to see.
tried out the 11m C4, what a gutless piece of niceness!!!
really liked the way it flied, very controlled and sporty. I found it confidence building (maybe cos it felt like a 9.5m) it had great feedback. a little more bar pressure than what im use to, but it wasn't a problem at all. it was a strange feeling because it felt like it had no power, but it jumped really well and had good float.
I even tried my first kiteloops but did them with a backroll and for some strange reason it felt good to try it like that. would have been funny for the crew to watch. needless to say the landings were explosive...lol
but that's how much trust I had in the kite.

next few days are looking good too. hope the wife agrees

hmmmmm, does it have much potential in more of a S wind?
cross-shore wind and waves?

otherwise I went for one crappy up and down waves sesh on sat'dy arvo.
wind was crappy and so were the waves.
what happened to the rest of the wind? lol.
not enough to wind to even shake a branch.
depressing...

A couple from yesterday taken by Mini. Cheers for the pics man.

My board got washed in so I had to body drag through the impact zone. Copped a big one on the head... lol.

Was a really nice day, shame it was soo gusty and offshore though.

Great pics mate!...I aspire to kite that stuff one day!

As long as you don't kite it before me I'll tell ya... Shoally Heads has broken through the dunes... Here's a few pics pinched off Facebook...

How they started it...

And how it is now...

And how it was once upon a time (circa 1989). Photo cred: www.surfresearch.com.au/SHB.html

Was out yesterday. Had an awesome time on my newly acquired Best Nemesis 2010 9m. Has only been used a few times.

I previously had the 2008/2009??? Same Kite as my strong wind kite.
Wow what a difference.
Boosts really well.
Lots of float. By far the best I have had. Never been on an edge tho. (next purchase)
Really good in the gusts (+35kn)and nice bar pressure (easy one hand all day)
The only negative I have with it... 2 pulleys and 2 sliding rings on each side of the bridal.
I was buzzing for hours after. *** New heights and float ***

Had 4 kites in 4 days westerlies 3 wks ago at Primbee and another 1 on Sat same place.Over the last 6 years there was a $hitload of weed there,if you dropped your kite and didnt get it back up in 5 seconds it was game over and you would spend an hour getting the weed out of your lines.Weed is all gone now and it is a more sandy bottom .Good for practicing new moves now,can drop your kite all day and no weed .

Yep. It's so much better.
Just have to work on the launching area a bit.
Going to take the 17m out today. Hope the wind stays up after lunch.

When launching at Primbee are there wind directions to avoid because of the range?

Anything with east in it is a no go. Can be ridden in NE but not from the usual car park, saying that, there are much better spots for NE. Southerly is ok if you tether launch/land.

Where do you actually launch at Primbee? I drove there to have a look, and it seemed pretty sketchy with all the trees, but maybe I was in the wrong area. Can you rig up and walk your stuff out then drift launch?

Been a shift worker for the past 20 yrs and I just got a promotion at work. This is my last weekend working.
Just have a look at the graph. To make things worse I have a new(2012) 9m edge just patiently sleeping in the shed.
