I Have been tracking a large luxury motor yacht from the Gold Coast, yesterday it re-fueled in regional S.A (currently 300 covid cases and rising) and today its on its way across the Great Australian bight heading West to W.A . Seems to me they have jumped a few loop holes to get there package delivered. ??

Money talks Southace. Or at least it helps talk you out of trouble once here. They wouldn't be the first people to just rock up because they think they are above the law (assuming that it is not a legit delivery or approved entry).

In honesty though, people are/can come into WA when approved on their G2G pass. It's what they have to do once they get here that matters.

Yes, I think McGowan made a big deal about opening up G2G requirements a bit as part of the changes instead of opening the border. As you say, if they get G2G approval, it will be okay.

Not that it has anything to do with boats, but the new G2G rules seem to allow more opportunities for returning residents and residents that have had to go to the east for family reasons. So the borders are not open, but he is allowing a lot more compassionate grounds. Tourists, no, but I expect if you have a good reason you can probably have a better shot at getting in at the moment.

The border closure's are a stupid rule anyway. Good luck to them. Don't snitch.

Not really snitching more curious why a luxury motor yacht can enter but friends with family and work commitments can't.

It gets better, the green ones buy our product and take it away and then brings it back at a higher refined price! Sim city

Not sure how you got a copy but that's the beta version of the new 3D interactive Seabreeze.com.au wind forecasts version 2.0.

Green arrows, red arrows, blue arrows. It kinda resembles 100s and 1000s on a cupcake - random sugar coated nonsense.

Not much different to the current Seabreeze.com.au forecasts then.

I think MM is an ex-premier still walking, the media has turned on him and he made a deal that he has not kept.

The only thing he has in his favour is a wiped out opposition, but I'm sure they are rallying in the background.

Mean time the bureaucrats will be carrying on as usual ****ing the country up

That's the only way he got in anyway. People were sick of Labor, but Libs were a terrifying alternative at the time

Anyyywaaay talking about inconsistencies -

What idiot decided I have to be double vaxxed to go thru a drive thru bottleshop - but don't have to be vaxxed to queue up with hordes at Subway - but if dining in at Subway, even as the sole dine-in customer I have to be double vaxxed?

I mean FFS... I can see why they just said "licensed premises" but did nobody actually think it through?

Reminding of the meme with everyone 2m apart waiting to board a plane, then crammed in like sardines later.

schools. No outdoor Ed camps, no assemblies, no swimming carnivals, no parents on grounds etc etc wtc

but it's okay to cram 32 kids and a teacher in a 7x7 classroom oh and the year 12 ball is going ahead.

there is little rhyme and reason to any of it. Absolute non sensical rubbish that changes from day to day mind you.

Could drop one off to class for you Eppo?

I'm a reluctant double vaxer and soon a booster victim (to keep job) so can get my own carton but thanks.

too add - deputy said to me yesterday within the first page of a many page document from our ruling clowns, they found 4 inconsistencies. For instance no mixing of year groups (impossible by the way but hey) but if there is say a school band - then that is okay (just to name one). Honestly it's a shi1t show.

See, that is what true government does.... get things wrong. It is made up of a lot of individuals making decisions, and sometimes they don't even coordinate with each other.

How people can think that the same government could coordinate a conspiracy to not land people on the moon, or to set forth a fake pandemic amazes me. Getting things wrong is what they are good at. Getting things right is much harder.

Does he really believe he can avoid the inevitable? There's only one way this is going to go. I remember when the NSW graph looked pretty similar to this.

Get ready to witness the practical implication of the word 'exponential'.

McClowen had plenty of time to get ready for an open border Feb 5 but chose to take no action in preparation. Just sat there and waited. Could've been a great example to the rest of the country but he let us all down instead, but hey.. At least he can wear his crown for now with WA taking the Stockholm syndrome approach

I can't believe they are ever thinking of opening the border up, what with flu coming and all.

University of Sydney infectious disease expert Robert Booy....

"I would say that flu in young children is worse than COVID is in young children," Dr Booy said.

www.abc.net.au/news/2022-02-10/qld-health-influenza-fears-bad-flu-season-children-vulnerable/100816038

Do you think there will be a media and political frenzy of daily numbers of people who die who also have flu antibodies in their system ?

O.M.G...... just had a thought.....what if a 96 year old dies and is later found to have BOTH covid and flu antibodies in their system ??

I recommend wearing rubber gloves. In fact they should mandate the wearing of rubber gloves.

I think from a political point, he would be screwed if he had just opened the floodgates on the 5th. Now, even if the same thing happened, it is not a political problem. It also gives the systems here a bit more time to ramp up. I think having the starting base lower will help.

Despite the vocal ones that insist the border should be open already, there are plenty that are happier with them closed. At the point cases here are high, it won't matter anyway and we can all be equal... unless NSW and Vic lock out WA

Is WA the only place in the entire world now still in lockdown ??
Seems life is back to normal around here, dont see much on the local news anymore and everyone just living life as they use to.
Happy days.

Hospitals are handling the slight increase but nsw over prepared for the opening last year.
If McClown did his job and prepared (had waaaaay more time the the rest of the world) , then you guys wouldnt be 2 years behind the rest of the world and not just starting out your covid journey and in a panic cause of lack of health facilities.

If WA's past is anything to go on, you guys probably wont be able to even use a mobile phone unless you have a full hazmat suit on.

We're not in lockdown loto. The last "lockdown" here was months ago. But we never had to experience anything like you did. Must've been terrible being locked in your cell, with only yourself and seabreeze to talk to

i bet your narries got pretty sore.

Pretty easy to get out mate, plane, bus, car, boat.

7 days at home if you come back in.

Hard life I know, if you go by plane sometimes there isn't wifi all the way across.
