Here is the inside scoop I got on how the new Slicks will be offered. No word on any possible shape changes at this time:
The 2023 Slick lineup will mirror the Unit lineup with a regular version w/ Dacron leading edge and strut and a D/LAB version w/ ALUULA. Both will have the MOD3 canopy material being used in the 2023 Units. No more PentaTX leading edge and strut that is in the current Slick SLS.
We'll see. I'm sure a D/LAB version of the Slick with the MOD3 canopy would be pretty impressive,.....and seriously pricy
. All the more reason I'll likely be content to stick with my current SLS quiver this season

Vayu wings have a full boom. Two separate sections but spans the full length. Had my 4.4 for 18 months now.

In the kites the sls models come out different time. As the Slick sls was only resleased in August it maybe that the new sls version is coming this August
at least it would be a non MOD 3 one - but as Alan is a close friend and sparring of Ken, I doubt he would try anything so far from the new canopee material. V3 will be available in an Aluula version as well.

No 7 or 8 metre for the Slick SLS sizing. I wonder if Duotone will offer a light wind option in 7 and 8 metre sizes -- a Slick light wind (SLW)? 
I doubt Duotone wants to hand off this portion of the market to its competitors.
My 7.0m 2022 Slick has probably been my most used size all last summer. Also have the 6m Slick and there is a definite step between the two. Surely there is no substitute for actual area when it's really light winds?
It has only been 9 months since they introduced the game-changing PentaTX to the Slick. And now it is already gone again?

My 7.0 SLS is the most used in the summer months, don't know why they'd not continue. Given Units have more low end power, I may get a Unit 6.5. I really do love the boom, though and would hate to part with it.

My guess, the SLS got released too late due to unforeseen circumstances (production/shipping issue etc.).The release date of the V1 has been around early April like aimed now for V3.PentaTX is no longer used in the V3, back to the basic Dacron material for front tube and struts.Either to expensive to combine PentaTX and Mod3 materials in the new model or the combination does not harmonize. I?d rather guess Penta TX would be too much of an argument against the pricey Aluula version. I wonder if the massive price difference between standard and Aluula version remains as to be seen for Units.

COVID release cycle was Jan v2 Unit, June Slick
Now it's back to normal. November v3 Unit, April Slick.
The puzzling bit is what happened to other brands.
Many brands that released in Jan prior years, are yet to release wings. Maybe they are all shifting to April releases.

would mean standard 2022 Sky Wing, released Sep 2021, remains for 2 european seasons, whilest TE has been replaced after one season, release more or less was Sep 2022. Wonder is this is going to be a one-timer !?

I think I asked it before but try it again here. Does anyone know the span of the new unit? I couldn't find anything. I guess it has to be more stretched more than the slick sls. For example the 6.5 slick got 378 cm. So the unit v3 in 6.5 got nearly 390? Anyone got an source? A few ppl asked at duotone page but never an answer there.

I don't have those dimensions, but have ridden the 6.5m v3 Unit and new (coming soon) Slick 6.5m. The wing tips hit the water more often on the Unit. Get the Slick, if this is your concern.

Thanks so far. I think that's exactly what I gonna do. I think the new slick will be better than the sls. I already saw the video. The 6.5 unit must have around 3.90?!

I've been very happy with my SLS wings. I do have a Unit V2s as well. I feel the Unit V2 is a little more grunty on the low end, but slower than the Slick SLS on the high end. The Unit V2 goes downwind a little better. I unfortunately put a hole into my 6.0 Unit V2 today. While I wait for it to get fixed I might pick up a Slick SLS 6.5 to replace it, now that the prices are lower as the shops anticipate the new model.
