Yep! Missed out thurs as we are back at the lake. Arrived too late Thursday to get a sail in and nothing since. Just sitting around drinking tea and going to eumundi market and the Appalonion for a slow cooked beef lunch and sitting around the campfire and looking at the glassy lake....
I'm complaining to Brian. You appear to be using more than your allotted site.
That will mean a 2 month ban.![]()
Not much wind though, was at qpac windy wed and had an hour on the water yesterday nothing today and hoping for wind tomorrow..oh well back to the campfire..
Any getting any sailing in at Victoria point? I'm down at the gold coast at the moment and had four days sailing in the last five. ....

Monday at Wello was the best hope but committed to something else.
Saw 20 kts for Broadwater Tuesday on willy weather, went to Vicco (it will get here soon) never did.
Left the car loaded in hope of Wednesday - nothing on Willy, didn't go.
So, no
You're just bragging.
Cheers
I'll be home from a couple of weeks in Bali next week so there had better be some wind!!! Relaxed and ready to go![]()
Just read in a Redland City Council booklet that they are about to start on the installation of new groyne structures and sand replenishment at VP Thompsons Beach.
Anyone know how far these structures will extend into the water and if any impact on us sailors?
Had a mixed day a Thompson's. Tony visited to try out the new JP superlight. I rigged a 7.8 and Tony rigged 10!!
My 7.8 racing Blade handled the wild gusts OK but Tony's wanted to turn inside out or something..... We came in and Tony took the 7.8 and I rigged a 6.6 koncept and we both changed to weed fins as we were running out of water. ..so then the arse dropped out of the wind, tony got going but I only got a couple of short runs and called it a day. Typical southwesterly, all over the place. Still, a sail beats lawnmowing any day..

Don't know, will the groyne be on the north or south end?
Hey Pete, sounds like you had a couple of good runs. I called Tony while he was stuck on the Gateway at Nudgee and he said the 9.8 was a handful.
Some of the bullets that came thru were BIG! - till we changed to the smaller sail![]()

Did you guys sail?
I attempted to
, Adam worked and I don't know what Jeff was up to.
Absolutely perfect conditions at the beach, i watched the wind come up on the Redcliffe weather station and then bolted down the beach hoping it'd be the same. Rigged your old 9 NCX with the 59cm fin on the Magic Ride and got going a few times but slogged heaps, just not enough consistent wind. Typical westerly up and down, you could see the darker wind line over towards D-Bay and Redcliffe and there were bullets coming from all directions to keep me on my toes and then it slowly dropped out ![]()
Went to O'Hallorans Point at three this arvo and bugger all wind and water. Didn't even get rigging practice in. Oh well...

I was out fishing there and there was enough wind to make that a pain![]()
Today is looking much better already. Temp is rising quickly and the wind has already swung north, I'm feeling hopeful. It just needs enough power to make it this far down the bay. Sometimes it will be 18kts NE at Wello and only 12kts at VP.
It started with such promise but as of 2:30 my confidence is low that the wind will come in before dark.
I took the trip north to Turners Camp at Bribie to catch up with the old crew and got a few runs in ![]()

apparently it kicked in just as I was leaving at 3:45 to go to my grandsons birthday party. It's just fun fun fun!!!
Wednesday looks good for Point O'Halloran Pete. I'll be there midday to sail the incoming tide if the forecast holds and we still have green arrows midweek. It's been a long time between sails so hope to see some of the pirates there!
Cheers, Jack.
Wed is looking good! I bobbed around on the water at Vicci Point today but couldn't get going. Beautiful day on the water or off it!
Sailed Cassie's board with the 4m yesterday. Yes desperation has set in
When and where for Wednesday?
Don't remember sailing a NNW before
O'Hallorans Point, at the end of O'Hallorans Point Rd. there's plenty of rigging area and steps down to the water. See you there!
It's here!! First try at the train today.
Wind too light and flukey and don't know what I'm doing but otherwise great fun.
