GPS Display Maximum Speed: 59.9 km/h (32.3 knots)

Conditions: 14 to 22 knots averaging 17 knots SSW

Equipment: Board Waihoo Slalom Custom, 96 Litre, 56cm wide, Fin 28 Lockwood Custom, Sail 5.8m Gaastra F1

Self: Age nearly 47, 88kg, 180cm, 23 years exp

Comments: Bit frustrating wind never came in, kept getting lighter AFTER A WHILE, couldn't crack 60km/h which was frustrating, I need new gear, better more modern sails, and a coupla good fins, and a coupla good boards, all my gear is around mid to late 90's vintage.

Details about Self: 43, 185cm, 88kg, 6 years exp

Comments:Rigging up and the Hardie Fella measured a gust to 22knots and we thought game on, but unfortunately it slowly dropped from there. First time using an old Finworks fin, felt ok but was I felt it was maxing out a bit. A nice fun session

Date - 15.03.07

Location - lechenault Inlet (Australind)

Conditions - SSE 10-18knts very gusty, chop approx 100 to 200mm

Gear - 105L hypersonic, 7.5m cammless mauisails pursuit and 34cm techtonics goldwing fin

Max display - 23.1knts (Garmnin foretrex 101)

Comments - today was really crappy. I started on smaller gear in a SW'er and at 5.30pm the wind died and swung to the SSE. I rigged the above combo and managed this speed after an hour of picking the gusts. Kit felt good as i have a new carbon boom(thanks Elmo), oh waht a difference.

Hi all,

Noticed that most of the fast guys use C3 fins? Is there a website for this brand of fin?
