Well I must be getting old and picky...

Drove from north Mullaloo to Port beach and back stopping at various places along the way... lots of rips, backwash, exposed reef and WEED!

If you were 13yo grom Leighton had a small clean waist high wave... too much of a close-out for me to bother...

My Kids want in after lunch, is there anything

Mullaz is chocka FULL of weed end to end - and just checked the Scarb cam - the SSW is in now at 15kn... take ém tomorrow...

Trigg-Scarb was ridiculously packed this morning and very straight - watched it for 10min and could not bring myself to go out...

Hit up a reefy nearby... was a little crowded, but half the crowd could not surf... just got in the way. Scored a few fun ones and one head high screamer that held up all the way into shore...

Some bad dropping in - saw two guys go left and right into each other which resulted in the biggest rail fin-chop I have ever seen - right through top to bottom and about 3cm deep - kooks!!!

Nice work GPA. Sounds like the reef I frequent a lot! You're right, gotta watch the mals! Yesterday was reasonably good there though.

Spent the morning tizzing up the abode for a home open and made it to the Spot about lunchtime, utter mud. Couldn't bring myself to go out, so just drove out to Feral and got a carton of Hop Hog.
Sooooo, an afternoon tending the Weber and sipping on one of the worlds great beers. Can think of worse Sundays.

The rights were quite good if you positioned yourself well - but too many 9'6" logs dropping in and kooking it... nothing worse than a mal 'tomb-stoning' it and bringing down the wave as you are trying to make the section...

Disclaimer: I was out on my 9.1 McT (sorry)

Yeah I like that joint but when I saw there wasn't enough swell to ride a smaller board at that right, I couldn't be bothered. I agree with ya though GPA, I ride an 8 foot there sometimes when I need to. Much better than the beach breaks around town!

Bulk people around though
Surfing must be in season again
Dont get me wrong its good to have great conditions but sometimes it's better when its marginal
All the kooks stay in bed
Give me big onshore and messy on the weekends

Not sure how superstitious others are but i always find myself muttering away under my breath when in the water. I always thank Huey if a i get a good wave roll through. I normally give him **** when he repeatedly roles lefts through at me and just as i move he sends through a suitable right, just were i had been

I will even after a time start taking good lefts as if i don't he sends nothing else i find. Huey can be that fickle sometimes i do wonder if he is a she

Oh i should point out i am a wave snob at the best of times, i'd love to be one of these grabs everything that is a bump but i find with fitness i like to sit and wait. Not sure about others but i usually find when i do paddle into one the set's then role in

Had a free day today and the beaches were flat as so I went on the hunt for swell. Found this little peak just as the wind turned light onshore, had it to myself for about an hour then one lid turns up in a dinghy. He was mellow as so all was good.

I took this pic as I left to show the size.

PS: Not one of my secret spots, this one is known to those in the know.

It was really good in the end BUT, I spent 3 hours driving around the ocean trying to find a wave before ending up at this place and travelled nearly 50nm for the day, I used way too much fuel AND it was totally worth it

It looks suspiciously like S.I., but then there is no way it would have been surfable ...
