Yeah I'm big on internet censorship at all...regardless of whether or not a thread was a big dig at me.
Haters have the right to vent and hate as much as I do hahaha ![]()
Best part is no-one actually did anything wrong. Doesn't look like suba was upset. No-one else was the target of the jibes, so who else could've been offended? No-one swore, no-one posted lewd images, no-one contravened any rules, etc, etc, etc. But laurie likes a "family" site with no conflict or differing of opinion, so things that upset him just quietly disappear. Like Chinese dissidents.
there is his mistake Legion, a true "family" site would reflect a true family, plenty of petty arguments, hurt emotions and expletives thrown about!!
I feel the love.
Always enjoy people writing for me in the 3rd person. My favourite is "Laurie likes a good surf, followed by a cold beer" ![]()
Yes, these forums are about having a place where people get along, you can share the stoke, and meet new crew. What's so wrong with that?
Surely we can all have a good convo without needing to have a go?
Differing opinions, no worries, but mutual respect.
Anyhoo...back on topic. Got a massive right hand tube ride today at Seconds. I pulled in, got spit right out of it..dropped in, smacked the lip...wapaaah! Dropped in, BAaaaargh.....then rode the barrel and got pitted....so pitted.
Feeling better everyone? ![]()

Got old and decrepit![]()
Popped a calf at indoor on Wednesday. Maybe not as bad as I thought it was gonna be, can stand on it today. Scans on Monday, so will know then. Sounded like a champagne cork popping and felt like a ball peen at full pelt in the back of the leg.
Fingers crossed you didn't do your achilles mate. Does the calf muscle look like its bunched up closer to your knee?
Hope its all good. Gimme a buzz if you need help with the recovery. Supposedly graduating means I'm now a 'qualified' exercise scientist ![]()
Don't think it's my Achilles Newguy, it's sore up the top of the calf. It could be a tear in an old injury from when I was riding a pushie without the pedal, just the axle thingo the pedal runs on. Went to lock up the back brakes and kooked it and the axle tore a big hole in the back of my calf.
Never had any trouble with it before, like I said just old & decrepit.
Thanks for the offer with the rehab will chase you up next week.

Default mate, I'll do my best. Can I get a bit more background? What did you actually do, diagnosis, treatment and are you currently rehabbing the ankle?
Not sure how much I can help as I'm the guy you'd see after the doc's and physio's are done with you. You'll have to give me a couple more years depending on if I get into medicine or physio ![]()
know much about recovery from ankle synovitis/scar tissue removal (arthroscopic surgery)?
Im still on the mend from this...its taking FOREVER!!!
I hear you...ankles take forever... I'm +12 months after reconstructive surgery on a very bad tear to the Peronis Brevis (sp?) tendon and still having pain and discomfort after doing the most mundane things - like driving a manual car in traffic.
The surgeon told me 6 months... but I think he said that to give me a shorter horizon to focus on... I reckon it was 8 months before it was 70%...
Trouble is it's hard to rest an ankle...
