That particular wave is an all-time favourite. When it's on, about 3-4', it's like 6-8 big turns down the line at great run-off speed. And the shape is great, it's a bit like a fast reverse trestles. There's some other stuff near there too that I'd love to explore. With the right swell angle and if the bathymetry and shoreline is OK it could be hundreds of metres. I'll bet smicko knows the area I'm interested in. Big fish around those parts though.

Was that spot on our hit list last year Mick? Look familiar-where that Bloke got bogged on 46deg day
if so can see its potential for sure

I need new front hubs before I head back there Mocha and yep that's exactly where old mate was bogged. Wasn't 46 either, it was 47 before 9am, Gero was the hottest town on Earth that day.
And yeah Legion, I know the one, haven't scored it yet but....

Nice...was that north or south? I rarely venture north as the crowds are usually depressing

Haven't had a chance really. Went for a hunt this morning and just waiting for the tide to swing.

Might see if any photogs want some cash for pics.

Ive been renting boards which is a bit disappointing; not exactly spoilt for choice. I didn't bring mine as I was climbing in the Sierra Navada before coming here.

Looks good. What sort of tidal range do they have over there ?

Several meters at the moment. It's semidiurnal, so you get two high tides and two low tides per lunar day.

Had a paddle. The easiest tube rides of my life. Wishing I had taken my.gopro with me on this trip.

It's amazing that no one is out there surfing.
Hope you score more tubes
