This says it all, at leighton?? your even cooler than I thought, suba your da man!!

Where you there? Have you even surfed that spot on the rare day it actually works. Anyone that has can testify as to how good the waves can be there. Western Australia is one of the worst places on Earth for surfing...but sometimes...just sometimes it is decent...But that's okay...I wont bother arguing with a butthurt ****** with nothing decent to say.

I'm off to margs next week then a paid surfing trip to Bali straight after. You can stay here in Perth sulking in your own pitiful existence, wishing you you had the skill or even the drive to get in the water near as often as I do and enjoying it near as much...I'll be off surfing away as much as possible all the while looking at the glass half full. Have fun in your little world, for little men full of little tears.

Mate gave me the surf report this morning and said he was going back home! Smallish, crowded and very full. I just came back from a bike ride and it's no better - maybe even a bit smaller... and it looks as though it's getting smaller across the rest of the long w/e

Yeah I'm off to margs in two days. Wind's a bit gnarly but we'll find something sheltered.

I've ALMOST been enjoying the calm oceans these past few days. Been going freediving off Cott. Just got back and collected a full catch bag full of old fishing line and other rubbish left in the water. Disgraceful.

How good was saturday and sunday, every bugger that usually surfs the secret spots between tr.. poi.. and scar...gh mustve read the surf reports.
Thanks to the forecasters for gloomy reports no bastards dropping in, snaking or generally getting in the way, riding planks by the 1000s and best best of all.......
THERE WERE SOME REALLY GOOD WAVES (well good for our secret spots)

Even though it was cold and windy this morning there were some good waves to be had at around 7 between the main Northern beaches and only a few out. I'm not a big fan of the cold but it does keep the crowds away.

11:20am Wednesday 15th report:

20knt WSW doing it's best to stir up the sandbanks... let's hope so.

6 out at Toms - a touch over head high - but VERY lumpy and not too consistent.

5 wagging-booger-teens out at Waterman's Bay - shoulder++, but a bit fat - still, two shortboarders wetting up to go out. PS- all the 'retaining' sand bags under the toilet block are completely exposed...

No one else out Sorrento to City Beach.

Hoping for a protected wave down Freo way tomorrow if it's true SW and 3m+ swell...

Stop the dunnies falling into the Indian Ocean I expect! The southern concrete foot path is like 4ft above the beach - looks like some form of diving platform gone wrong...

I hope ST's is working tomorrow - I have the week off and so far the weather has gazumped me big time!! (hence the bike ride today)

Got back from Cott not long ago. Some pretty big banks rolling through and some real long rides. Way too many guys out though. Got a few nice ones before giving up. Don't like crowds. Anyhoo, haven't surfed out front of the tea rooms for years.

...fingers crossed my flight on Friday night to Bali still goes ahead...need some warm water waves.

if you dont like crowds better get use to them
even the lesser known spots in bali will be crowded atm
my advice is head north and look for a river mouth ??
5.8 in indo better you than me:)
have a great time

haha yeah I've been to Bali countless times, I get there every couple of months when I'm lucky

Crowds can be brutal, but I tend to ride around on my scooter and find breaks with less crowds. But I'm not too fussed in Bali with the crowds. Waves are always worth it and I don't mind running over kooks hahahah.

Besides, we'll be surfing Lacerations in Lembo for most of the time provided it's working otherwise back to the mainland for Ulus or Padang...anywhere the kooks don't flock too....although, to be honest, some of the best fun I've had surfing in Bali has been shredding the Legian/66 sand bar...don't know why.

As for the 5'8" in Indo...yeah...we'll see how it goes. I've got a few boards that I leave in Kuta with a local friend that looks after my gear for me while I'm not there. The 5'8" will be dynomite around Kuta/Legian but might need other boards for the real deal

Can't wait!!! Haven't been for months.

Uhhmm, I thought ST hadn't worked 'properly' for 7+ years? In fact, I was of the opinion that from Floreat Groyne south hasn't had decent sand banks/waves for the past 10+ years and that Cott Main doesn't break anything like it used to 10+ years ago. Good if I am mistaken though, Cott Main used to throw up some peaks near the end of the groyne and a speedy little inside shorebreak.

Well it was the first time I've ever surfed it when it's really been working. Not really clued in on the history of that spot and I rarely ever see dudes surfing it. But yesterday...well, it was going off. Some real high walls breaking just past the end of the groyne and rides all the way into shore past the tea rooms. Real long rides. I would have stopped and filmed it after my surf but was too freaking cold.

Nah man, it's some mega old school board. I'll find out what it is when I can be bothered getting out of bed Was just another one of my 2nd hand purchases. 5'8" and about 19" wide and really thick. It's a real bizzare looking board but it shreds the Perth much like crazy. Not soooo good on barrels as you can't correct it as quickly as a 'normal' shortboard. But I love it.
