Just got back from the Dingo. Small...but fairly clean...would have stayed in or gone down to secrets but meeting a mate at the driving range. haha

I hope ST's is working tomorrow - I have the week off and so far the weather has gazumped me big time!! (hence the bike ride today)

Should be good, heaps of long period swell from the west so it should get in there no worries get a couple for me, looking like Sunday before I get out

Was quite OK at ST's - 10 dudes out at 9:45am - about 4 at 10:30... sets a tich over head high... but very fat out the back off the groyne... Guys said it was better about 8am on a lower tide. Faster and cleaner on the inside section. Glassy on & off. Reckon about 6/10. Looked way cleaner than anywhere else... especially the northern breaks.

Well, I am studying Marine Science...I could miss lectures for a surf and say I was studying

I don't see money being too much of an issue though. I'm fairly savvy with it when I earn it.

Probably explains my extensive quiver of 2nd hand boards hahaha

Well...the dingo was about as crap as can be. Definitely not worth getting cold for.

Ohwell...Bali tonight.

Perth's most crowded beach break was actually quite good. Surprising ENE early, then NE at about 8-10kts. Head plus height - good banks at first and second car park - no rips and no backwash! 7/10.

Nice!
Good on ya. It was predicted to be a good surf day and the dawn patrols were saying it was good...but I guess the swell just wasn't making it to the Dingo or Cott...ohwell.

Your spot can be magic when it works

Just had a coffee at Cott and some guys were getting rides but nothing to get excited about.

Well, I'm off to the airport for some warm waves in Bali for a couple weeks. May it be 6 foot over head and offshore for all of you!

Oh...and to the red thumb bandit...eat a dick

Seconds had some really good waves at 7am, good banks up and down but really busy at that time, like a summer Saterday!

Weather says howling onshore tomorrow so it was a one day wonder.

WTF are "banks"?????
I've seen a couple of crew on here referring to nice "banks" rolling in or through. Now call me old fashioned but to me "banks" are sand formations that waves break on, NOT waves themselves.
There ya go, there's my daily bitch.
Speaking of banks though, finally got some nice waves on metro ones today.

Re "banks" - I agree with you Smicko re some of the comments here re rolling banks (swells?) - especially when the ref seems to be for a known reef break...

Yeah, I was referring to sand banks that were producing the good waves.

Hence my comment "Seconds" is a reef break in Cottesloe, no banks there.
I take it you were referring to second carpark at trigg.

3m at rotto swell buoy but stuff all in Perth (compared to recent days) was it a weird swell direction or some thing?

It has dropped to 2.54m @ Rotto now swell is WSW @ 13sec. I think they have recalibrated the buoys at some stage. 3.0 @ Rotto used to be pumping but now average at best. WSW swell should be ok tho!!

strikko's not bad yesterday
bit windier than predicted but bolt offshore

lazy crowd of 6 at 9am , ebbed and flowed but getting pretty busy by 11,
10 boats moored at strikko, one at pissheads and over at bullets
these days u need a 42 riviera to cut the mustard

quiet mid week surf at rotto sure aint what it used to be

no one calls a wave, dropping in seems just part of the scene now

getting old..............
