Yeah just got back from Cottesloe.
Flat as can be. Decided to have a beer and fell asleep in the back of my Subaru...so not all was lost.

Despite the small swell call, down south was absolutely firing with head high plus sets at exposed locations. Because of the number of breaks doing their thing, we managed to find a spot to ourselves. sweet
Locals were ripping it to shreds and saw a lot of very good surfers get barreled.
Being average, I got pole-axed and pitched over the falls but did sneak one or two in between. it was a beautiful weekend and the water was warm and crystal clear.
Lamb shanks at the Settlers weren't too bad either.

hahaha ohwell. I'll live. If saying "perth's favourite beach break" is giving away too much, then who ever wants to redthumb it can go **** themselves

Anyhoo...yeah, hoping that this weather will shift some sand.

Nope! Still mostly very straight along the Trigg stretch... found myself a little bay with 4 other blokes and scored some fun shoulder high lefts and rights... had not surfed this break for over 20yrs... but had noticed a few taking the punt in the last couple of weeks...

I made the wrong call on Sat and had a sleep in and then went cycling... went along the coast strip at about 11:30 right on glass-off... Trigg looked a bit ordinary, but the bank at the Underpass / Contacio seemed to look very good...

I looked at the crowd and decided a nice leisurely kid free brekky with the lady was the go. so lazy these days. I dont do crowds, which means I dont surf in perth as much as i used to.

I made the right call after I saw the crowds and had a leisurely Bfast with my lady

Yeah mate, it was going off. My mate and I talk all the time longingly about surfs like that at that spot.

As for my board...I was riding a bunky old 6'1" shortie that is so old it's a decaying dark yellow colour. I didn't have a terribly good day at it though (a little hung over), so I was probably the guy you saw dropping in and getting destroyed by not escaping the little tubes
