I am very sorry if I may have upset you SP.

yes it was an attempt at humour, but obviously you didn't get it.

well can't please all the people all the time. No offence meant.

how did you know I was born in the 50's

Might have to change my style of humour.

ET.

It's alright, not sure why that offended me.

Guess any one that played it has heard that type of stuff for years and just finds it a bit cheap. And the whole bagging gays is a bit of a cheap shot for me 2 but as you said being born2-3 decades apart probably has something to do with it.

Anyway.

What a great start this morning.

It's an improvement.
They tell me Brazil scored one for the other side WTF.
To be honest, I followed the World Cup 8 years ago and sat up with the Mrs til the very early hrs but we both found it heart attack material.
It's so bloody hard to score a goal in that sport.
I did enjoy it at the time.
When the Italian took the dive, that was it more me (was it that Del P guy from Syd FC ?).

The Aussies always do well at sports that no one else plays. Cricket, League, Union, Aussie Rules, Hockey etc.
To even make the World Cup with our small population is brilliant!!! We punch well above our weight in football and even if we don't score a goal, we will have done extremely well.

And don't forget they take breaks for lunch, drinks and tea.

Very civilised I think.

oh and by the way, I think I might change my sense of humour, don't want to get Greenroom brothers off side.
no pun intended.

yes it may seem that way but I am a punting man and world cup is a great opportunity to boost reserves. The Australian team has not been picked to do well at this event in my humble opinion - but it will serve them well going forward. Its unlucky that you have such a horrible group. Although you might be able to knock Spain off given their performance this morning !!!

scoring goals in 3 world cups is really the stuff of legends. He is incredible. He will be Sir Timmy one day I reckon.

I would love to see Australia go well - its just a rough bloody draw.

Watching now.
Have been following updates on net.
Sounds like 2nd half much better for Aussies.
Ok, perhaps I am on the way to converting.

Planned to watch the aussie game at board culture....but the waves called loud.
Got home and the girl was telling me how good Australia went, she was pretty pumped about it
Watching the replay now...and well I have to agree. Still a missed opportunity for us. I think if we were not so nervous and pumped them from the beginning, well I believe we would have rattled Chile. Nonetheless, a great game for such a young side and am glad to see some big mouths shut... Swhartzer your one of them

Loses its punch on a replay......just like the nervous feeling of watching the Rabbitoh's playing a grand fina. You know if it's not live,it's not as nervous when you know the outcomel...ummm maybe hoping to play a grand final....ummm I just used the rabbits to stir emotion
