Surfed with LFish at secret spot just on sun up this morning. Absolutely cracking glassy left handers, we had a ball for about two hours before the tide started to fill. And once again no crowds, only 3 of us in the water and one bloke was on a shorty so he only got a fraction of the waves we got.

Lol. I lived up the road from there 20 years ago. It sure wasn't as crowded as it is now. I still have many find memories of that wave and have surfed it up to a legitimate six foot (only once all you naysayers who reckon Perth never gets to six foot). Toms at 3-4 is just so much fun and I saw in your blog a comment about blow ins and how do you judge a blow in in a city of 1.5mill. Well, two years after I left Perth at the end of 1996 I returned to Toms and a bloke out there said "You're that guy that moved to...and used to study..." That's how you know blow ins - if you paddle out into a crowded line up and nobody knows you.

nothing necessarily wrong with blows ins mind you...we are all blows in at most waves we surf aren't we Because you can't be a local everywhere?

Nice work LF. Surfed a long right hander at 4ft with 2 others. Tide was a bit low and made it tough to make some sections but dam good fun all the same. Loads of little reeef sharks around which did not make it that enjoyable for me.

Had a nice feed and catch-up with Mac last night - good to see the fella - in fine form as per usual.
