Think Ted is back here in Oz for week with work stuff

Poor bugger, last I heard he was a free man for a few days

I was wrong though, surfs dropped over there. Its only about head high at Canngu & Kmaz

Yes I was a free man for a few days and made the most of it Mick. Scored some super fun uncrowded waves on the eastern side of the peninsular. Beautiful over there at this time of the year. Flying back Friday if all goes well tomorrow. Otherwise I have to stay till Wednesday. Yuck

Sadly it's become the cost of surfing some of the best points on the east coast........

That clip was nuts,if they banned the short boarders and back packers, the pass it would be heaven, just kidding short guy's but as Lacey would say give my 1 2 foot any day its opens the entire GC for waves.

I remember saying in November here in Bali the water was the cleanest I've seen it over the years, but sadly right now it is a massive rubbish tip an absolute disgrace

After my brief stay with Mr LFish we need to introduce you to some quality beach breaks. I had an absolute ball and it'll give you some variety to expand your mind mr McT.

Got a few little late Arvo peaks. Nothing special but water was really warm. Probably won't need a steamer till June .

I was too tired & depressed to surf today after this happened yesterday. There was like a medium size set wave & a bomb out the back. They both stood up for a long time before breaking like it was yesterday after the tide kicked in...I saw like 5 guys paddling for this bomb & then I couldn't see anything with this first medium set wave blocking my view. I paddled over it & the bomb was close behind it with my friend Marshall just taking off straight for me. All I had time to do was try & get as deep underwater as possible. Came up with Marshall saying he was so sorry. I was pretty happy I hadn't got injured, but got one of the worst dings I've ever had apart from snapping boards. I got 2 of these & had to head straight in & grab another board. Ended up having a great surf on the old Mardi Gra, but spewing eh

Clearwater Vs Clearwater, his board was fine. Very lucky he did not rip his fin plugs out, they're a bitch to repair. This is ugly but an easy repair at least

Deep yeah, sliced through top to bottom mate. Those pics are of the same slice top/bottom of the board. Mate was riding a 9' something Clearwater longboard 2 + 1 setup. Looks like it would have been longer if the centre fin didn't knock the sides out from slicing further.

Thats a worry when you see what fins can do to fibreglass. Skin would have no chance..

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate sorry to see that & yeah Marsh wouldn't have done that on purpose bloody terrible to see - if you thought yesterday was bad enough (and it was as you ended up seeing) well today had some real Monkey's arseholes out there & very early too ...... way packed & super dangerous if you were in the wrong spot
Put it this way I was gone by just after 8am which is pretty early for me - could not believe how many out of town no hopers there was

Yeah I kinda felt sorry for him coz he was so bummed out by what happened...but it was just plain rotten luck, line of sight was broken by the first wave of the set & we didn't see each other till it was too late.

Oh well, I'm getting a noserider in 6 to 8 weeks anway, I'll keep this one as a basher for the busy bigger days.

We finally got some decent swell through for Perth) over the last couple of days. It was fun & really crowded but it seemed a lot of the crowd paddled out to have a chat & drop in on each other on the sets.

On an brighter note your invite to the Joel Tudor duct tape invitational is in the mail.
Duct tape can fix anything.

Unlucky or should I say lucky Mick ! Glad you are ok. Fixing dings is much more fun than skin. What nose rider did you go with in the end?
