They just seem to be everywhere. I never really worried much about sharks in the past. Waiting for high tide now. Going to hit it this arvo.

small but clean fun waves this morning. was out for a very long time and the tide change just gave us different banks. it was that hot and the water was that warm that i was sweating after a paddle back bonus was that there was not any lice for a change

www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jan/16/teenager-in-hospital-after-being-bitten-by-shark-off-nsw-south-coast

Quote " The boy’s friend, Luke Sisinni, told the South Coast Register the pair were spearfishing when Smith spotted a shark and “went down to film it”. “He said it spun around and started coming for him, so he stabbed it with his spear to try and scare it off, but it just went ballistic and bit him,” Sisinni told the newspaper. The shark was reported to be about 1.5m long."

So he bothered, gave it a freight, it swam of so he pocked it, and it bit him, shame the headlines didn't explain it as clearly

As a massive kook, Ive never had to deal with sea lice, can you explain what they are about? Do they just irritate the skin

Obviously its more a tropical issue to do with water temp

Just had a very fun surf in punchy 3ft semi clean conditions. Just me and one bloke for an hour until 5 tradies turned up. Great fun until one of them told me about the 6ft hammerhead he saw yesterday at the same spot. I lost my rythum after that

1-2ft super clean and a touch to busy for my liking. If it was a foot or 2 bigger it would be perfection. Banks are in fine form this week.

Perfect two foot longboard waves. Took the wrong board but it still went super nice. So clean, warm and good vibes all round. Then the tide got to a certain point and we were infested by jelly fish. These farkers have been around for months now and it is doing my head in. Had a old boats telling me it is because of some northern heat/swell or some other ****....I stopped listening as he smelt of rum and it was only 9am

So all in all, it was a great morning

I laugh at the su keys who will not travel to surf fun waves...hope the coffee was good

id have killed for the jellyfish with clean waves compared to what we attempted to surf. Kook city was what we looked like. Saw Macca in amongst it too so not total losers I guess...........

just couldnt be be bothered tackling the traffic from south to north once I got there.
