Get yourself a Mac Mac

Just the chicks got to surf in it. I always feel for the chicks in the first round as they get the worst conditions as a general rule. Might run some stats on this bias one day. I figure its way more significant than than it should be if we live in a world of equality and non-gender bias. Maybe I should set a homework assignment for Teacake to keep him on his toes

Now that ASP are using the Youtube viewing function - does anyone know if you can watch the live stream from their Youtube channel as well as through the viewer on the ASP's website???

I can see all the previous videos etc but not sure about the live stream and whether it comes through on the ASPs Youtube channel???

I was trying to find that on Apple TV the other night. I couldn't find it either so would be great to know? That way i can watch the surfing and surf the net at the same time
Also i convinced my wife if i watch it straight of Youtube on the TV it doesn't effect our down load for the month. That way if we go over i don't get in trouble, the kids do

How much do you get a month JB? We used to have 50GB but it was never enough - we have had 200GB the last 12mths and we seem to get by just fine between 2 of us

Looks like a bad day at main beach atm. Some chunky little farkers coming through....
Plus how good is it to see the pros make the same mistakes we make on shifty waves

Rio this year what a joke,ASP best surfers surfing the best waves on the plant,oh come on Rio is junk.

The ASP panel on the broadcast stacked with yanks which drives me to bang my head on a brick wall.

Some interesting results so far - which will really open up the title race with Gab and MF out. Slater has got to face his arch nemesis Adrianio in the next round - I think he has won one of the last 9 heats from memory. If he can blast through to the semis then its all go for the year. Same with Parko. If TB will continue on as he always does means he will be good for a top 5 finish. Waves do look crap. But lets not forget that often the Goldie comp typically has several rounds in less than ideal conditions. Its just that the pros make them look good. Bells had moments of sadness this year. Most venues have their ups and downs but the Brazo events are right up there with the worst on tour. J-Bay and Fiji to me are the most ideal tour spots that allow the surfers to really show how good they are - long long high quality rides with a bit of size thrown in and lots of variation. Pipe is just amazing and nothing more needs to be said about that place. Tahiti has its moments - but for all of its glamour its still just a tube as a general rule. I like to see the competitors displaying more than one move on a wave - I want to see them link sections and make the most of the wave. These one turn waves annoy me.

The classic was the heat between Kelly and the brazzo David Dicarmo (something like that). David takes off...is about a foot in front of the tube the whole way....then he takes the lip to the head and misses being inside the barrel completely. Comes through...does the wankiest claim you have ever seen...even one of the commentators said that if he wasn't so busy claiming he could of actually done a turn there. Sad sad stuff.

I will add the bits I like....there has been some hell air drops and some.great hand drags from the takeoff to get into the tube. I do like seeing how they surf waves we do,like seeing them paddle against the sweep and bailing a board when that lip.was gonna land on them, even saw kelly do it. I like how they approach different waves, even the way they paddle for a wave, how they wait to pop up, or keep their chin super low to the board. All things I take on board. Am also loving them getting nailed and falling from turns....
I think I just like to see how they surf so I can pick up pointers to help me. You can see the ones who don't surf less than average waves though,it really showed to me...well I think it did

Oh the fox sport wooden desk is the biggest circle jerk I have seen...it's not the nfl

Was thinking along the same lines, it's good to see them have to surf in less than ideal conditions that we all have to contend with most of the time & to see how they handle those conditions or in some cases not handle them well.

Kind of brings it back to real world for me & easier to relate.
