The waves i'm surfn most are sucky beach breaks which are quite challenging ( for me) on a 906 flat rocker , you need plenty of paddling speed and angle take off , my 903 evo 11 was slow paddling and hard to get into early as had more rocker plus difficult nose riding , so I thought longer with flatter rocker would make it easier more of an experiment which hasn't really worked , just too much board ,works ok on fuller waves , so i'm leaning to shorter 901 flat rocker and as Mac has down sized was after some info /advice .

Its not going to make any difference...and on sucky beach breaks rocker is your friend.

Plus a nine foot board in a sucky beach break is going to be hard to surf ,ask mac.

Mine has heaps of rocker and sometimes its good as you do get in early and the big rocker helps, but **** it goes wrong more often than not. And on a sucky wave SP is right positioning will be more your friend imo

So lets bere it mac

Bazz what's your weight ? The standard evo 2 has the 08 rocker which has more than my evo 2 which I put the flatter 07 on, helps paddle and glide.

Worked that I need a a 6'6 to 6'9 for days like today to mush water moving to ride a 6'2/6'4 not big enough for a 7'0...too water drawing off the reef for the flat rocker on the 7'6...might scale down the 7'6 and add some more nose lift

I think I may get myself some telescoping square section and make a shaping stand like that, the timber one is taking up too much space.

I just need to find a way of making sure the floor mount is not in the way when I unbolt the stand for storage.

I'll probably just use a blanking plate so the fixings don't block up with crap between use.

My mates currently building me some..two stands connected by a telescoping central piece so you can adjust the distance front to back....wide feet on the floor
