Not sure we like all the publicity photos of Arrawarra Headland as it is generally pretty quiet.

I can confirm that Richardo's sister does out paddle most of us old farts on boards that are close to half the length of our boards.

Vanders what is the dims of your new board and I presume that it will complement your new CA board. My wife reconds that you are working your way through the rainbow.

One of my very good mates lives in Arrawarra. Cracker of a spot. Scored it Easter Saturday last year. Double o/h breaking from around the corner right onto the sand. Fun take off over the rock shelf on a 10ft log!

I should say it is best to stay away. Easter Sayurday last year everywhere from Noosa to Newcastle was pumping with solid East swell

All good with comments delivered tongue in cheek. It is good to share where ever you surf. Yes have been following the Aussie titles on line from the sunny coast as we have gone north for the winter. The whole comp should be over by the time we get back home.

look we have had shark sightings on the goldy all the time....as for ballina and the ox stretch it is just a gimme that you will see one.. peeps are just getting all excited because there has been a attack.

what is strange for this time of year is how close the whales are swimming to shore. They are usually only doing that on the way back

Got a lot of recreational fishermen and trawlers? Sharks are just looking for food and probably there have been some changes to ocean currents due to wahtever the ****s going on with the weather....just a guess

Chrispy - I've got a theory about the sharks being close to shore on the way north....here goes........traditionally the whales stay out wide on the way north as they travel with the south swells. For the past couple of weeks we have had a consistent east swell, that's assuming the Tweed Buoy has correct, as such the whales are coming in closer.

On the way south they will be going with N/E wind swells typical with that time of the year, also it allows them to come into the bays & give the calves a bit of quick rest, anyone who had dragged a tired toddler around with appreciate that.

On Friday night during an add break after Manly scored another try against Souths, the wife asked if I wanted to get a cabin at Evans for the Show Long Weekend and I said nope.....might wait till the bait fish have cleared off!! Looks like we will head to the Sunny Coast to see friends - at least at this time of year I won't need to take boards.

I'm thinking I might give away the full moon surfs for a while!!

Hey dazzled I'm not talking about the sharks,. I do like your explanation on the whales though.

Lacey sorry that my opinion does not count as I'm a blow in,I was going on what the lifeguards and the old swimmers had to say, along with my own thoughts.
One of the helicopter pilots that does tours thinks everything is a much of a muchness. Some years more, others less.

Saw it from a distance - did see the school of bait fish at Byron - looked like an oil slick.

I have noticed the shark boat is checking the drums / lines everyday lately - I do feel somewhat safer, it might also explain some of the newer faces in the line up lately as maybe less people are heading south?

Funny SP IMO the whole extra sharks in the Ntn NSW area is a load of bullshiz they have always been there the whole population is talking about it because of all the media hype sure theres been a couple of attacks in Ntn NSW lately but this time last year it was panic stations in WA fuelled by media hype the faster the population grows and the more people that take up water sports the more attacks there will be get used to it as far as culling sharks f$#k that cull some Mcdonalds executives if your worried about the population. Rant over couldnt hold back any longer sit down with any surfers that have surfed for thirty years they will all have some shark stories to tell Ive scuba dived and spearfished all up and down the NSW North Coast theres f@@@@in heaps of sharks everywhere

I would even bet there is less sharks in the area just more people in the water

Well boofy down to balina with you nude every morning and night for a week with blood and guts smeared all over your body and pissing in your pants.

Tell us how it goes.

Chrispy just taking the .....

well we gave guys saying same same and others disagree.

myself never heard of hardly any dw shark encounters. now we are.

the swell theory holds up for me because its been a terrible dw season. No south winds or swells
