Hey Nozza

you pretty much have the following set ups there:
- big single by itself (straight and hold)
- quad, ie. no single, but change so the bigger fins are on the outer forward boxes, smaller trailing (speed and pivot turns)
- thruster, with the big single (or buy a shorter one) and with 2 of the side fins (I'd use the forward slots again, probably the bigger fins too)My tip:
big centre fin is your go straight weapon. Keep in.
start with the 2 bigger side fins in the outer forward boxes, and take the back 2 out.

experimenting can come later but hope that helps mate

*edit: saw your board build on another thread, so assumed it is that sup.

Probably marginal to be called a mid length but also did a 6ft 6in four channel twinny with trailer from the same basic file. First go at more than 2 channels and it was a work out but happy with the way it goes too.

Sorry about the sore neck! can't work out the pic orientation

Awesome work Termite, that bonzer is bonzer.

Can't wait to get it wet.

Keyo 7'3 x 21 x 2 3/4 x 47L

Heavy Rhino glass job so will be interesting to see how she glides and moves.

Running Soar 6" middle and 4" sides.

I particularly like the black epoxy glue lines.

Kinda gives it a triple stringer vibe but with less weight.

No fancy laps or tints, just naked clearskin beauty.

Just hope it surfs as nice as it looks.

The Keyo is an amazing ride.

Bit longer than I'm use to so longer lines. But once I got the groove of her she soared beautifully.

Board looks very familiar...I hope your not the same bloke with the beard who paddled out, said hello & then paddled inside us this morning. Not that it scored you waves before we left. Unfarking beliebable farkwitism....otherwise, nice board.

I told the girls to paddle inside you on their longboards

Hahaha, yep that was me.

But you sitting way out on the second boil waiting for the fat waves that only came through every 3/4 hr is what I would call farkwitism....

If they did come through me and the short boards were sitting way too deep on the first break to be of any concern to you, the shoulder was yours for the taking.

Otherwise, I was pleasant and polite, said hello, didn't snake anyone, didn't drop in on anyone, has some nice conversation with decent non tribal rides, and generally had a very nice morning and yes got a good lot of waves after you left.

Sorry if you had a crappy surf, but I had a lot of fun getting to know the new board and actually sitting where the waves were breaking.

As for the lady on the mal we actually shared a couple of waves and it was all good that she dropped in on me because she was riding the fat face and I was inside.

Actually after you left it got better and a bit more consistent.

Hope to see you out there again old mate, and yes I will paddle inside you to the first boil that I like to sit on or even deeper on the back of the reef, I will also say hello again, and I promise not to snake you or anyone, or drop in on them :-)

Fark you karnt & all the people green thumbing you. Basically supporting poor surf etiquette.

I reread your first reply & realize you think I'm the bloke who was sitting on the outer shoulder bubble on the longboard who came out after you. I'm not, I'm one of the shortboard blokes. Bloke with the hat.

I don't give a fark if you surfed there 1000 years ago & you still only surfed there a few years before me anyway.

You don't paddle straight out & sit just inside people when there is very few people. You weren't on a different take'off spot. You were about 4m away from us & kept repositioning. What you did is not cool.

I'm done communicating with your smart'assery online. Do it again when I'm out there & this will escalate.

Wow seriously can't you handle a different perspective or some friendly tongue in cheek?

Mate no bad blood my side just trying to tell you the facts from my perspective. No intentional disrespect, no intentional trying to get a rise outta you, no intentional snaking or dropping in on your local spot, and not trying to be a smart arse at you.

As for bad surf etiquette? Repositioning? Seriously I'd just paddled out and was trying to gauge where the swell was hitting and the best break and position, are you like this with everyone that paddles past you? Because I still think this is much bigger in your mind than anything done against you mate. And I don't even remember a specific bloke in a hat on a shorty? There where heaps of guys wearing hats?

So you got me at a disadvantage, you remember me because I was simply being a friendly guy saying hi as I paddled past on an awesome board that you recognised. I don't remember you because short boarders all look alike to me? Again no disrespect, you just were not on my radar to mess around with.

As for escalate.... really? Hope you got a black belt in jujitsu brother? But I doubt that because what they teach us is to de-escalate conflict before it leads to something stupid and regretful from which there is no return.

So I'm gonna de-escalate this and offer to buy you a pint to calm the waters, next time you see me the code will be to call me a "smart'assery, tosser mid length rider", that way I'll know who you are and can buy you a beer after the session :-)

Keep it good vibes mate, that's all I'm out there for, not trying to steal your waves.

Peace, good vibes and a free beer, that's the extent of my malicious intent towards you brother.

Cheers,

Hydro

Hey boss man who runs this forum.

Noticed you deleted Mick's post, and have suspended him. He sent me a private mail message but I can't access it.

I did not make a complaint against him, someone else did as it offended them (which is all cool and stuff because they don't come here to put up with crap).

Anyway please do not suspend Mick, yeah he's raging a bit, but you and I have got no idea of what's happening in his world and he might just need to vent.

If I'm that target so be it, I can cope with some cranky crap.

Thing is I've touched base with mick before in private mail and he's all good when he takes his meds ;-)

(and yes that was a joke Mick)

So no hard feelings on my part and can we all just get back to looking at and discussing really nice boards please.

Cheers

But FFS, just talk to each other.
Since I have 18' 666 boards, and 9' 666 boards, I'm going for a paddle on my new 10' midlength 666 tomorrow.
I won't sit inside anyone

What is the quote, some one said, nearly?
" I object to everything MckPC has to say, but will defend to my death his right to say it".
Or something like that.
Shaits me mostly absent moderators deleting stuff.
But I have discovered if you type shaits me rather than ****s me, it makes it through.

Cheers Macaha,

I've had an absolute crap last 6 months, and I mean crap that costs you everything and everyone that you value and love in life.

So I get it when people are in an angry place.

Seriously I don't think Mick would follow through, he might spit some venom and vent but I get that and understand the internal turmoil.

Pretty sure if he let's me buy him a pint or two he will find out that I'm actually not a F and C that he has me branded as from one interaction.

Everyone else don't piss on Mick, he's just expressing himself, free speech and all hey.

Cheers

So I dropped some coin on one of these in the 7'0 before I tripped across the Keyo.

Was wanting to get a Moonfish 6'10 but too long a wait.

Besides this one was nearly 1/2 the price, so it will be interesting to see how it rides.

I think there are some very serious questions to be answered here.

1. If anyone living in this area is cashed up I want to know where the f**k is my cash, and where has Mick hidden his.(BTW where did that post go?)

2. I have been surfing the area for 40 years but a mate of mine who lives within spiting distance of said break has been surfing the area for
43 years, how do I out local him.............BTW the young blokes just don't care.

3. Has anyone bothered to see the time Mick was posting? Yep well after beer-o-clock that in its self should be reflective in the parole sentencing.

4. The surf lately has been f**king frustrating, swell but wrong winds, then right winds no swell and some of us are getting angry as a result, I know no excuse but surely a mitigating circumstance in sentencing.

I do really enjoy the midlenght room and the enthusiasm (not that I surf them) but not as much as "Toes on the Nose" thats next level.

Hydro lovely looking board will keep an eye out.

Carry on men.
