Please don't make me say it again- vouch midlength vish- they're incredible

Been checking these out Onefin, incredible how similar they are to the Fitz Cosmic Twin.

Seems that if the shaper is in tune with the source the outcomes are very similar, resulting in a convergent outcome even though both people are separate.

Or is it simply a case of copy cat?

Disclaimer first, I don't really like twins. Quads are good in wide fishes other than that I'm usually in the 2+1 camp it suits me and what I grew up riding. Don't mind singles either..

But with 2+1 Depends were you have them set up, a tight cluster on a 2+1 will give you a short turning radius.

If you space them further apart you get a longer arc.

Also depends on what sides and centre you use. Changes the variables change the way they behave massively.

Personally I don't fins affect wave catching at all.

Bloke around loved a no paddle take off under the lip on his single. Just sinks it down and uses the pop to catch waves.

"Bloke around loved a no paddle take off under the lip on his single. Just sinks it down and uses the pop to catch waves."

Torren Martyn style late take off SP, drop and go like the clappers. How do they do it so smooth and clean?

I did the same many many moons ago on my 6'4" G&S gun, but you needed to be half facing the shore ready to pop because there was no way to spin that gun around it's big single quick enough.

Finding that the twin allows me to do the spin to drop so much easier and quicker than the pivot around a big single.

Not sure, it's hard to tell on the interweb- I have never held or seen a cosmic twin in the flesh. I agree they seem quite similar and I am sure the cosmic twin works really well- I saw a clip of one at Ulus (?) & It looked amazing.

The two shapers could probably explain all the intricacies and they would sound quite different. FYI There is a nice looking 7'2 long fish for sale on the sunny coast made by Matt Wilkinson- check it out on gumtree

Yep, big time.

Land locked for the foreseeable future.

Not fixable with a tube of UV epoxy.

Thought I was having a shocker surf.

Almost every wave I took off on the board had a mind of it's own.

Seems like the foam was already giving and flexing.

Creased on a set drop in, then folded and snapped when I got hit with the next two waves.

A couple of other guys who have owned Webber's have had the same happen to 18 month old boards?

Maybe a flaw in his glassing as I now see them coming out with carbon reinforcement.

If anyone in WA has a cheap mid with futures boxes please let me know.

Don't care if it's dinged up and sunburnt, I can water tight it, just needs to be really really cheap.

Maybe I shouldn't have sold the Carbon Jet? At least that board felt solid, even if it was a so called piece of Chinese crap.

Cf not sure about the hanelei fins you are looking at,but will ask my mate who deals with lance.

I can see myself only having hanelei fins in all my boards soon.

I am eying up their twinzers to go on my newy

Yeah slim pickings and I can't afford the freight.

Son crashed his car yesterday into the rear of a beamer. Regardless of our telling him to make sure his insurance was paid he let it lapse.
So now we have to find a car for him and bail him out on the repairs with money we don't have.

Nothing left in the coffers for even a second hander unless I find something sub $100.

Chances of that are zip.

Sorry, bitching about money again, but getting out in the lineup was the only thing helping me keep my sugar honey ice tea together ATM.

Checking out for a while.

It's been fun.

Thanks Chrispy, appreciate that and will keep my eyes open.

Biggest issue is making sure we sort a set of wheels out for the son today so he does not loose his job.

After that I'll have some idea what if anything is left in the coffers.

Cheers though.

Dare I mention a 6'6" tajen near me for $250 on facebook marketplace?
Goes great with Webber flex twins if you're into weird stuff like me.

Sounds rippa but aren't they FCS?

I kitted up with Futures and a set of Webber's is almost as much as the board.

Checked in with the seller. Someone picking it up tomorrow morning. Spotted it early this am but went out all day with the family and don't have Facebook on my phone so only just messaged the guy when I got home. Never mind.

There's a 6'6 Katana selling local at a good price. But again FCS and I sold the MODII twins to help fund the Sanctums and Webber.

Cheers CF. Yeah trying not to jump on anything in desperation.

Did some research and would likely end up like the Webber.

Back to gumtree.

Natural or goofy, but mostly natural.

Please don't find an asym for me. Was already toying with the idea of quad one side twin the other on my Diamond.
