I remember the old Matador sedans - think they had 283ci hearts in them , sounded great ... sadly haven't seen one for years

The 283ci was a Chevy mate,I had one in my 62 ImpalaThere used to be a Matador here when I first came here but haven't seen it in years.The Matador had a 5.9 litre engine so I guess that equates to be about a 352ci

They were well before my time Al. I was more Commodore and Falcon generation. Dad even bought a Camira at some point. The 80s was really when cars lost soul and style.

But it's a great shot. The quintessential Surfing shot. Car, Single fin and wettie. A few bucks of petrol and you are living the dream.
