This is a gift! Perkins rebuild kits are very cheap.

I don't like the look of the shaft coupling with a universal joint on it. Universals are not designed to take end thrust.
After the engine rebuild it could be remounted correctly and eliminate the universal joint.

A thrust bearing at the uni joint prop shaft interface sorts that out. At least that's the way mine is set up and has been for 40years

I'm looking for something like that but not sure I can "clearly see" the top end overhaul. Might be a missing photo?

Wow, that looks very well worth it even if you put a new donk in, assuming the rig is OK.

Nice anchor and a lovely interior. Now if the primary winches were mounted where the mainsheet winches are you could sail all day with out getting off your butt!

Bit too expensive for me.

I looked at the mess in the interior and thought "must have been used as a crack den". In fact, it's even messier than that - must have had a teenager living aboard. :-)

Lol I just watched a doco on Jessica Watson and got exited on the back of that.
interiors could be cleaned out and crack scraped off the walls leaving a nice hull I'm sure.

Still a really good buy. That interior will clean up fine after a few visits to Bunnings. This is a mark one and the best I reckon. Interestingly there is a Morning Mischief and a Morning Mischief 2 and not much info on this one. www.ss34.org/index.php/directory/morningmischiefii/ Morningbird might have more information.

Love the shackle joined to shackle joined to shackle joined to shackle joined to shackle on the backstay....makes you wonder what else they've done. Probably solid but doesn't look great.

Rated shacked might cut it, I know it's a different application but I've managed to bend the crap out of non rated 10mm shackles on my cap shrouds, gal ones aloft bent the pin and stainless bow ones alow straighten the bow out. Shock loading was the undoubtedly the culprit, from the top of the mast whipping about due to the skipper being slack and not pulling the runners on while running

Always had a thing for Hans Chritian's, I think they are really pretty but that one is ringing alarm bells. That solar panel eye sore on the stern makes her look ugly and would be the first thing to go. I think 50 to 100k would disappear into her fast.

That said, after spending the money, you may have a great world voyager refitted with new sails and rigging and electronics, plumbing etc etc for under 200K which could a good buy. I think you would need to have a good estimate to refit and then double it to get to reality.

Well known cold moulded Cole 31 for sale. Less photos of the inflatable and some interior shots would help!
