What are the odds of you spotting it on your passage??
That's Sad news to fall in disrepair...
Did you take a photo?
Cheers.

Not something you want a photo off but I just walked over and took one. Since my post someone told me he had been living on it and that they saw him recently and his health seems ok which is good. Someone want the boat?

Very capable yacht in the right hands. One is currently entered in the solo Trans Tasman race : www.solo-tasman.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Skipper-Profile-Jim-OKeeffe.pdf

And currently in third place: www.solo-tasman.co.nz/race-live/

Very interesting background on Jim..Do these guys ever retire from Solo sailing..? At 13m, they wouldn't be an easy boat to sail Solo.
Yes the Adams have a good reputation..

Saw this boat displayed at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival.
Lovely boat.
Met the owner too, we have a connection through YouTube and FB groups.
Very nice family.

I was very interested in that Adams in Q1, 2022, from memory it was $30k more and he wouldn't budge. It would have been nice but I'm comfortable with the end result of the boat I have now.

Yes also $9500 on the Vicsail Westernport website. Strange. Maybe they now need to move it rapidly hence the FB post and $5990.

Its been on the market a long time . I've watched a few around the 24/26
ft. drop from mid to high teens down to 5-6 over a couple of years , especially trailer sailer designed boats which also came as fixed keelers such as Cole 23 ,Sonata 8 and Seaways as well as one offs such as Masters and Saxby 1/4 tonners. I have been tempted on a couple but don't want to be stuck with something that can't be sold later on.

Yes . Having recently bought a 25ft Contessa for $6k - One has to realise you are dealing with a 40/50 yo product, and the running costs/,can easily exceed initial expenditure,if you are not careful ! - let alone costs of mooting/antifoul !

10 minutes with a soft broom and some Metal Gleam would have this looking good!

This is interesting boats yeah so '92 build 44ft, full keel with 3.4m beam and canoe stern fit the bill? :) :)
I really like the swinging companionway / "door", seems to work.

Saw that. Beautiful looking boat.
Wonder where she was built.
Would like to see a full underwater shot showing forefoot.
Swept back spreaders implies modern fractional rig too which seems unusual for a double ender full keel. Wonder if she is quick enough to take advantage of it
Separate shower too!

60 lts of drinking water in an offshore cruiser plus 440lts of additional water storage for movable ballast sounds odd.

My first thought was it would be a tough saloon to be in in a seaway. There is a lot of open space for one's body to be thrown about!

Yes you would think that with a boat of substantial size and a full length keel there would be heaps of underfloor space for tankage. I would definitely be taking a look however if I was in the market as everything looks in perfect nick.

yeah, no overhead handholds either but the countertop edges are quite raised I guess for that purpose?
"a serious offshore sailboat" says the ad :) so is the displacement at 14t with the length and shape enough to slow down the motion?
Some shots of it sailing would have been nice to get an idea of the rig size, it's a fat skinny boat to move...

Going on the pic & the blurb, for that sort of money, already in QLD I imagine it will scooped up. The cheapest bare charter yachts are $500 + a day.
