HI FOLKS,
Things are steadily ticking along and coming together, daves been putting final touches to reqd permits and paperwork a shidt job but has to be done, ive been busy drumming up shops / brands/entertainment/catering and finishing touches to what i reckon is a great relaxed format for the event,
Since my last post the lads from WA SURF and AIRBORNE, have jumped on board, theyll be bringing a great line up of equipment and shop/team riders for the event,
OZONE have chipped in with a prize pack which is up for grabs, OCEAN RODEO have donated a shift stick bar , this is worth $1000 , im personally keen to take this for a demo and looks a great piece of engineering, we will have plenty of other retailers/brands and prizes at the event,
Keep an eye on seabreeze events, midwest windfest facebook and seabreeze topics for how things are progressing, weve had over 60 registrations with more commiting in our 1st few days , 2 months to go and the winds already kicking in,
grab your mates and do a kite convoy up the coast to the MIDWEST

just had an email from Zian Kites, gemma and some of their pro/team riders are up for the event, looking forward to seeing the kites flying
Really stoked to let people know we have secured Infigen Energy @Infigen as our major sponsor. Infigen operate the Geraldton WindFarm ( you can see their windmills on the hills to the east of Gero as you arrrive). It's a great match, re-enforcing the value of the MidWest wind both for recreation and sustainable power production.
Their sponsorship through the Alinta Wind Farm Community Fund will underpin the event assisting with insurance, water safety and logistics costs helping us keep the cost to riders as low as we can, and running a safe and fun event.
Yep a big thanks to Greg Needham and infigen energy in supporting our event, it's a perfect partnership, powered and empowered by wind

Infigen 40 knots there'll be a lot of carnage.. Figen noobs best stay on th beach with their 12s.
Oops sorry, my bad ![]()
On events, thanks SB crew![]()

Do we have a rough idea on timings of events and associated days? Keen for downwinder and gear demos in between keeping the rest of the troops happy.

Enjoy guys!
Here is a chart from VIC. Can someone please shoot me. I am open for sponsorship including plane ticket

And a note that the forecast on SB is based on the airport BoM site and meteo station which is typically 5-8 knots under offshore conditions.
So right night now SB forecast is 22-23 knots. The live port buoy is recording 10min ave 26 knots gusting to 30.
So bring your small kites!
Matt988 is going to burn off his post-harvest gut in one weekend I reckon....
Guys a heads up, ensure you bring small kites along, the wknd is forecast to be stronger than today, I like power and it was very powered by our standards
That'll help wear the header gut off

Look out wishy! Matt might be fat after a months harvesting but hes getting warmed up for the weekend haha
Enjoy guys!
