Does anyone know how much the fines are for ignoring council bans?

check out page 14 of this..http://www.cottesloe.wa.gov.au/d/Council/Policies_and_Local_Laws/Local_Laws/HC9OUAT4L01S22IKCUJHTVG2PNDJYC/0QAASD3TPDLTK1P.pdf/D12+9494++Beaches+and+Beach+Reserves+Local+Law+2012+_adopted+Council+28+May+2012_.pdf?
Item 18 might catch a few SBer's out..
I had a lady at the dog beach tell me that the rangers fined her 200 bucks for letting her dog walk in the car park without a leash..
I also copped fines from those w@nks for parking in my own driveway (partially blocking a footpath which was part of my driveway) and parking facing the wrong way up the street.
Town of Cottesloe are a rule to themselves!

You do know the footpath is on their land? "your" driveway starts about 1m past that at your letterbox (ish)

I will gladly take your house in Cottesloe if you don't like the council....

I still argue that there is a lot of grey area there..It wasn't as simple as that.. The garage had a 3 metre setback from the front boundary so any car that was parked would stick into the "path". The footpath was replaced by the drive way cross over..

The rangers have been pretty firm over the past few years, parking and dogs are a pretty easy target.

No longer a resident unfortunately. Just well experienced in reading their by-laws...

There is no grey area. You own up to your cadastral boundary. If you park on the footpath then be prepared to be fined. The footpath is for walking on whether it has been replaced by a crossover or not.

Footpath was still trafficable and only partially obstructed.

You work for the council do you? Chance you can take the signs down?

Shouldn't this be in the " let's have a rant about footpath law" section?

hahhaha
