Why would this one be any different? Other than millions upon millions not dying because we have now progressed to where we can build vaccines.
I actually find it quite surprising that such a huge pandemic was effectively forgotten about, but I guess a hundred years ago is such a long time.

The article doesn't say that. It says that nobody knows yet if vaccinated people carry enough of the virus (and shed enough of it if they are infected) to make them potential spreaders of it.
I guess the people who study it will have a data set that allows them to form an opinion about it in a few months time, after a couple of hundred million people have been vaccinated.
Even then, it will still be an open question because time will have to pass to find out if any immunity lasts.
Meanwhile there remains the fact that the FLCCC have published the results of their combined clinical trials which demonstrate that their I-MASK+ protocol is a proven solution for both prophylaxis and treatment of Covid.

Can't we just try an experiment? Setup one Australia state as 'land of the free, home of the stupid' and let the virus run free too? Keep the other one's closed down as controls, and then see how well the first one does?

I guess we have the example of Sweden to monitor. Despite their best intentions and their unusual approach to it, they are not doing any better.
Its a shame that society has reached a point where social media has become a force for people learning that they have been duped but the same people won't learn how viruses work. Maybe that's the end of the world, where people become so full of themselves after reading dumb posts on facebook that they ignore good advice and end up dying early.
