The shape looks really nice. The lines look... too many and too thick. Happy to try it but what's your guess on pricing? I'd say 12-1300USD. Can it be 3.5X better than a Gong Plus at 375 euro for a 4M?

I saw it for sale on a foreign website. Didn't do the conversion but appeared to be in line with the alternatives.

Thicker lines aren't necessarily a bad thing with these.

Bar looks really refined but still nice and simple:

First time I've seen a Parawing offer with a wind range provided:

I have seen windranges in other brands, Ensis, Takuma, Gong. They are similar but the 5 meters gong plus has a claimed range from 8 to 18 knt. So less than half the price and more powerfull, if the claim is correct.
Personally, I feel the Ensis 3m power is similar to a 3,5 wing, once you know how to pop-up.

Big plus here, The lines are "trapped" at the ends like paraglider race lines. Likely unsheathed spectra like the Ensis, nice and slippery. Not just sewn like the BRM and Gong which leaves a sharp edge when you slide your hands up the lines. The bar also looks decent but it would be nice to have a built in spot to clip a leash instead of just the rear line leader.

The Ensis has a built in safety loop which collapses the center set of lines but I've never used it. Essentially B-line stalls the wing which kills the power but not sure how this will sit on the water in higher winds, may just continue to flop around. I Just clip to the rear line leader and it sits on the water nicely.

Same as PP4 above. Feeling like the 3M Ensis has about the same low end as my 3.5 V4 Strike at 87Kg on an 8' DW board. On my smaller board though I need a sustained 20 kn.

I've put an order in for a 2.4m in custom FFF colours! :)

Good days here on Lake Ontario 20-30 kts this will be perfect for me at 87kg with my KT Super K 60L and AFS Silk 850/142

Apparently there is a belt accessory coming too but haven't found any info on that yet.

This Ensis red ball stopper is a nightmare, its catching lines all the time. It is such a bad idea.

Haven't noticed this as a problem though for tangles. If lines are already on that side of the bar you are tangled regardless of the red ball. I seem to end up needing to dis and reconnect my leash during the untangling process fairly often. I just switched to a Wichard clip on the harness end to make that easier but it is bound to accidently clip some lines at some point.

There is a significant learning curve to untangling lines while bobbing up and down in 2M swell and 25Kn+ wind.... And why is my board leash through one of my toes or wrapped around my foot 50% of the time... and always during the best gust

Lines go around the red stoper and get caught there, I'm inclined to break this thing and connecting a knot that can slide across the bar.
This was just a bad idea, when you can just connect the leach to the back or from lines for safety.

Yes, the quality of Gong may be worst, but the price of a 5 m is 410 euros. I'm ordering a Gong, as I'm not convinced to pay 1000 euros for an first generation experiment.

The belt looks good but do you think it's big enough? Hes just got a 3m and its already really full. Why not just make it a bit bigger and looser

Ya, looks too small to me too. I want to be able to have 2 Parawings in my belt. Also I don't trust a little piece of Velcro to hold my Parawing from falling out. I ordered 1 regardless because it's the best option available right now.

Getting one of these from Super cheap auto and attaching to an impact vest or life jacket is my favourite way of stowing atm. Spreads the kite out over large area and cans compress it once stowed, saving time. No chance of falling out.

My first string wing session yesterday.
3m, 65kg, 8 to 13kn gusts on a lake. Kalama v1 92 litre 7'8".

The gusts were just enough to pump it up and keep foiling. Long time standing waiting for gusts.
DW leg pumping and surprisingly wing pumping gets me up in a lot less than i thought. yes the wing can be pumped with some finesse and I could get up in wind that was barely enough to sustain flight without pumping. I think very comparable to my 3m Flow. Could it be the rocket has more power once up?

Addicted already. Well done ozone it was worth the wait.

OK, Im about to pull the trigger on a Pocket Rocket. I'm in a quandary as to which size to get. Wavering between a 3.6 and a 4.3.
I'm in Perth WA. Average sea breeze is probably 17-23kts over summer.
Aim is to learn to do upwind / downwind circuits.

I'm around 82kg without a wetsuit.
Board is a Smik StokR Breeze - 6'x19.5"x 85L
Foil is a Sabfoil 980 Razor - 938cm2, AR 10, good early lift.
Im an intermediate winger and have 7 years kite foil experience.

While the 3.6m will probably be great in the conditions that are good for DW'ing, I'm worried that the power needed to get onto foil in the learning phase may not be enough and the 4.3 may make the first stages easier. It also seems the Pocket Rocket will handle going upwind overpowered a bit better than most parawings due to its' canopy stability when sheeted out.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

My 2 cents as a fellow beginner (but on BRM):

I waffled a bit trying to figure out what size to go with and am very happy that I went small. 100% of my friends who bought 4m and larger parawings hate them and gave up on parawinging pretty quickly because of it. Too much canopy and lines to manage when learning.

I myself have been feeling it out and quite quickly realizing that there's a lot of technique to learn which is more valuable than pure grunt on to foil.

Best of luck on your decision!

Thanks so much for the info. I'll check out your posts on the BRM thread for more info on your PW journey. My major concern is the roll stability (or lack of) in my new ML board. At 19.5" wide, I rely heavily on having my wing next to me to lean on when transitioning from straddling to kneeling. I guess I'll just need to find a work around using the PW. I can feel some major swearing ringing out over the water in the coming months.
