Ja. I've really been impressed with Armstrong kit until now...
Bit disappointed with all the nuts & bolts everywhere, new fuselage requirement etc...

Bloody oath, just received my foil today... Not the A+ system.

On the + side I am thinking I am not liking the idea of more screws.

On the - side I am thinking was there a problem with the original system or is it addressing an issue for the 5-10% of riders who throw big air?

To the people riding the original system, have any of you noticed a wiggle appearing after a while?

No issues after 2 years of heavy use
No need to upgrade unless you race or jump.

Do you reckon using the new HA1125 on the "old" fuse/mast Would cause issues in the setup for the average non-jumping 80 kg winging rider...?

I'm tempted to just go with the new wing & tail on the standard fuse /mast...

No issues at all. I used a 2400 wing on mine for ages with no issues. If you are a wobble wheenie spray the inside of the wing with acrylic lacquer or wax it. And you can add the top screw easily

Thanks for weighing in Hilly.
Think I'll stick with the current fuse...

For those interested - the drill jig from Armstrong is 39USD...

I'm going to stick with the standard fuselage aswell and just see how it goes and go from there I'm not going to worry about the new stabiliser either as the existing one is plenty loose enough for my skill level

Well the new A system does make sense given the loads these advanced crew are putting on their wings. And of course the bigger HA wings. At least it's forward and back compatable.
But what's up with that new swallow tail back wing ? Anyone know anything about it ? Meaning what's its design reason ?

Sky Rama design , narrower makes easier turning , surface area keeps the pump good , swept back giving an effectively longer fuse effect.

Yes please!
Keen to know how it is to drill all those holes in the mast & foils...

In my opinion Armstrong should supply the drill kit to their suppliers so one drill kit can do all their customers up to the correct specs especially if they're foil is less than 12 months old and still under warranty.

My be the kits can be lent out from your local Armstrong dealers for a small $ figure. As a good will for the Armstrong family . If you think this is a good idea lets keep posting.

Going to stick with the old system. I like the -2 shim which is not an option on A+ only -1. All the new wings fit the old fuse so no drama really. Bit of FOMO about a few screws, which just make it harder to change wings.

You only need to drill your existing masts and wings, if you want to update with/to an A+ fuselage. They do have a great deal on that, selling the new fuselage with a discount of $100,- including a drill kit. And then there is no real need to upgrade, all the parts are still compatible. I think that is great news. We have a few Moses/Sab Foils at our local spot, where you need certain masts for you fuselage, different fuselages for the wings and so on. And now they start using M8 bolts on the bigger wings instead of M6, as the screws bend even without jumping. The upcoming Slingshot Phantasm needs different fuselages for the wings, adapters to eventually fit existing parts to the new Phantasm foil.
Best regards, David

What is the going rate for a STD fuse now the A+ system is out? a few shops with original stock with no doubt struggle to sell the old fuses now the A+ is here. Maybe those still using the original kit can pick up spare original 50 or 70 fuse now at reasonable price. If the A+ fuses can be sold on release for $399 US, how about they stick with that price for good.

The drilling jig should definitely be offered out on loan by Armstrong retailers, or they can drill it for their customers!!!

I'm pretty sure we will see more Armstrong masts soon, why put two holes for cross barrel nuts in the A+ fuse otherwise. Future proofing??

I leave my mast and fuse together 99% of the time. (No fizz bro). If my original Hex connection eventually gets sloppy I guess I'll get out the west system epoxy and bond it tight.

Any word on the flying V tail wing what's so special about it. How will it change my life? Why would I want to get one?

With an adaptor (#1 link below) you can use any Moses foil with any Moses fuselage. Also, the Slingshot Phantasm fuselage will accept the Moses surf foils (#2 link below) and with the adaptor the "race" foils. Huge selection of foils (new Slingshot Phantasm foils and the Moses foils). Slingshot will be introducing some HA foils for the Phantasm with different length fuselages and masts. For me, it's between the Phantasm and the Armstrong as an upgrade. Right now I'm favouring the Phantasm just because of all the foil choice and a much stiffer mast.

I just picked up a small bosch impact driver to help save on set-up / breakdown time. Used it yesterday and it was amazing.

If winging ever gets say in the Olympic or a pro circuit you will have to have a pit team (all in same uniform, helmets all with pneumatic drills each side) like in formula one to change foils given condition changes. In your ear piece "box, repeat box"
