...Where did Muzza and Brett go?...

See you all in May for the 'May Wave Sailing Comp' (date to be confirmed - called a few days prior to get best conditions) - I will be the one with the shiny new 4.7 Alpha :)

Hi Dave,
I left Friday arvo. No wind to look forward to so I went home to my lovely wife and kids. Spent a day a Cleland Wildlife Park and had a great few days with the family. Its pretty rare for us to get a weekend together, so I took advantage of the bad conditions and the weekend off.
My early departure had nothing to do with the killer hangover/smoke inhalation from Thursday nights effort... thanks Chris, I will get you back![}:)]
I'm definitely looking forward to May's wavesailing comp... along with some wind and waves.
Catch ya soon
Muzza

...glad it wasn't just me, i'm still not quite right...

Tony, Chris....can you please shed some light on how the brown snake came to have no head? Was Ozzie Osborne at 3rd Ramp?

Yay, come for a visit. We have it.

I think Richard Upton deserves accolades for his awesome effort, he was the only person out every day from 1 to 5 wavesailing in 5 knots and getting some great waves.

I've been working on the sup pics all day and hope to load them to my website soon, www.susiesphotos.com.au still under construction, cut down 350 sup to 150, but here is one of them. I'll add more tomorrow and look for one of Richard now, got some great shots this weekend, I'll be busy for a while.

By the way the originals are huge and really clear, good quality pics.

My memory is a bit hazy, but at some point while we were trying to start the fire there was a rustling in the bushes, next thing I know this enormous Brown Snake leaps out and grabs Chris around the neck. It's wrapping itself around Chris who is now helpless as it's constricting around his entire body. I grabbed a shovel a smacked it over the head but it still wouldn't let go. We were both wrestling this monster of a snake when it's enormous fangs came out and just as it lunged at Chris' throat for the kill I grabbed it with my bare hands and bit its head off. I saved him from certain death.
Well... that's how I remember it anyway.

You sure it was a brown snake? Sounds like a trouser snake!

Thanks for your comments Susie - looking forward to seeing a photo. It was fun seeing what these new longboards can do in the waves. I had the best session on Friday, I guess 5 knots cross-onshore, mostly backside rides. Probably needed a few more knots to ride frontside and carve a few turns. Even lighter winds are do-able, but much harder to pick up a wave. The Kona One that I have is the Holden Kingswood of the Kona range - they have some really nice looking longboards for the waves now:

Richard.

P.S. Thanks to Onboard for putting on a great event!
