Is he staying at the 'third ramp shelter/soup kitchen' or is he taking the soft option with the other latte ladies/lads?
Yeah his staying down there.. you'll be camp site buddies.
He is sleeping in his car.. hence why his leaving me at home.
I tried to book earlier but the 3rd ramp info centre must have been unattended... that little round building down there is the office isn't it?
Flat white... I'll have the billy on mate. Your cup might have a bit of sand and dirt in it and the milk will most likely have been left in the sun for a day or 2 but you'll get your flat white...ish.
See ya there ladies. Don't forget your goose down quilt, imported silk robes and fluffy slippers.![]()

So for all you newbies to Robe this year, here is the google map link to where the comp site is.. Its about 6Kms from the town centre of Robe.. There isnt much carparking as we take over the carpark with RED BULL tents, so if you have a 4WD its better parking on the beach..

Still had a tops weekend though, big big big thanks to Onboard for all of their efforts, Brett and Stuey put on a great show. Was good to hang out on the beach with the usual suspects, have a few beers, surf a bit, laugh at the kiters trying to kill each other ( I am glad we didnt organise the cricket game with them, they would have used their catapult to bowl the ball, and most probably would have killed some one!)
Highlights for the weekend was the weather, although totally devoid of wind, how good was it to get 4 days of pure Robe perfection?
Also special mention to all the windsurfing crew, truelly the nicest people in the world!
A few questions?
1. Where did Muzza and Brett go?
2. Will kiters ever grow up and become adults?
3. How did I win 'another' sail in a raffle? (Thanks ONBOARD cha ching!)
4. How can beers at the bowling club cost $3.50 and next door at the Caledonian, the same beer costs $7.00?
5. What was in the kiters Red Bulls to make them run around with headless brown snakes and jump off sand dunes while running and hugging each other?
6. Why is my 4WD still able to get bogged....twice?
7. What happened to the power on Monday morning....was it a kiter stunt gone wrong? lines on the lines?
8. Why does it upset me when walking down the main st of Robe all you here is middle aged blondies asking confused cafe owners for 'triple shot decaf soy chi lattes with a twist of lemon on the side' FFS!!!!!!!
See you all in May for the 'May Wave Sailing Comp' (date to be confirmed - called a few days prior to get best conditions) - I will be the one with the shiny new 4.7 Alpha :)
Hey crew, thanks heaps to the massive turn out..
Sorry about the wind, but I think most crew had fun any how..
Just need to thank a few crew, the sponsors for giving heaps of prizes..
Anthony Moore, from Robe for his big effort, helping to get every thing happening down at robe, and for his efforts over the next couple of days telling the robe locals kiters are nice guys and they all are not that bad..
And you guys for being there.. massive.. so many crazy times and many more crazy photos for the times you forgot happened....
12 months until the next Robe Easter classic, so rest up, train hard on the drinking and it all happens again real soon..
Once again thanks heaps.![]()
Dave did ya ever think maybe the car getting bogged is due to driver error. he he!
So you reckon you'll be using the 4.7 in May, Jesus I hope its not that windy I only go down to a 4m sail.
I can't wait for the May comp lets hope we get some great conditions and some quality time on the water.
