Hey Sandstone crew, a westerly forecast has me looking around for a different venue. Is a westerly any good where you guys sail?

Agree

i didn't take my small gear. Tried with a 7m couldn't even get away from the beach - I did get wet and cold

the better sailors Pope John and visitors Rob and Dave made the most of the conditions - lovely gybes in the smooth water (comparatively) in the lee of the mainland. Was great to watch

cheers Jeff

hi Andrew does gb mean goldern beach if so it would be hard to sail there, maybe rack the boards on the boat and go to the other side of the chanel ,it might not be so wind blocked.
ps the mylar has turned up ,thanks for that.

Yep it was cold yesterday.....

Scraping the frost off the board as I loaded the car to go sailing yesterday

We went to RQYS to join in on Team windsurf and Green fleet race skills

Eight of us sailing - plenty of useful practice. Wind died at midday. Had to pump and paddle back in

This getting more TOW is challenging on windless winter mornings

Cheers Jeff and Max

I've dragged a mechanical windsurfer out of the shed for the last two weekends and have just hit the MX track instead. Back of the Gold Coast last weekend and little sister's track yesterday, got my pre-90 bike I restored absolutely singing now though, yeeeehaaaa! Unfortunately I am feeling every one of my 40+ years.

Not much wind on the horizon this week but tides are looking good for middle of the day gentleman's sailing on the windSUP till later in the week.

Jeff, should I ask why your boards are lying around the yard gathering frost instead of being in the shed and feeling loved

All about not falling in Andrew.
Although there was some contraction when I stepped off a bit too early coming back to shore.

Is that your office view every day?
If I were to be put in jail - the best form of torture would be a view like that from my cell.
Doesn't this mean that the Boss knows when you're really sick or not?

The wind started to hit a consistent 5+kn mid-afternoon so I sneaked on down to the Phillip Street WindSUP Wonderland for a quick sail. Got on the water about 2:30 and it was an awesome afternoon for casual cruising. Scared the krap out of a few stingrays and lapped up the serenity, clear green water and clear skies

If there's a breeze Dag, I'll repeat tomorrow

I've just had a quick look and the BOM wind model actually looks better for tomorrow arvo than today so I'm definitely sailing Phillip Street if it all comes true. Should be plenty of water from lunchtime onwards, bring a WindSUP, Wally or Raceboard unless it blows enough to get into SLW territory
