Lungs, No pics coz i was the only dawn patroller. Hunting the flat water at lowtide. Long side stroke swim home draggin the busted gear. By 7am it was all lump n chunk n the wind bumped to over 30kt. Rigged a 5.5 n still over powered. Called it a day when Tony got thumped.
KUDOS TO THE GUYS WHO CAN SAIL THIS STUFF COMFORTABLY !! I DONT KNOW HOW YA DO IT. THATS NEXT LEVEL.

That's intense Oldskool wow good effort on boom, I've done that before
And the way you broke it swimming only way back.

Sorry to hear about your mates broken nose and ribs, I've also done those but on separate occasions forward looping. Ribs take a while to heal.

Went out this afternoon. Rough! Should of gone 1/2 km south where it was smooth but shallow. Will try again tomorrow!

It was fun, just not friendly

Golden Beach at the jetty near the swimming area. Would of been better off sailing at Nelson Street and Esplanade area, Matt who sails with us launched there and found some awesome flat water sailing over the sand banks. Matt was using 20 something cm fin and going great.

Thanks TC Oma. Decided against the dawn patrol to GB and headed to Burrum instead in the hope of finally getting a s sse run but soon as we go out there swung se. Still loads of flat water and DJ and I just managed at NM pb.

Sounds like carnage at GB!!!

Hey mate good to see you getting some sailing in. I hit suttons this afternoon for about an hour, swung by queens but there was too much south in it. Suttons could have been better, very gusty, could have done better with the floatier board or a bigger sail.
Yesterday was way better at queens if I could have sailed. Hopefully tomorrow will be better again.

yep thompsons beach victoria point at low tide.. ended up with a good crew there. unfortunately not as windy as yesterday but definitely a few good puffs coming through. probably 15-30 knots.

i rigged the 4.2m and went out. was ok in the gusts but dredging in the lulls on a 95lt wave board. came in rigged the 4.7 which was perfect for the rest of the session. sometimes very well powered sometimes not. couldn't stick many gybes. been a while since sailing in decent wind. had a lot of fun.
