I think it would be good for everyone to post here their 2014 target 2 sec peak speed target

My target is 43 knots in 2014

This way we can enjoy supporting eachother reaching our 2014 bucket list goals..

Cheers Russ

Current 2 sec PB is about 32 knots. I'd like get to 35 knots this year. I'm heading to Lake George SA with hopefully a smaller slalom board to give it a shot.

Been stuck on 31's for a while now so would like to break that hoodoo and then move up and hit 35.
Also want to get the 20kn Hr happening.
Do I ask for too much....

You just need some flat water Toby! Peli Point is not ideal for speed or hours.

48 knots 2 sec for me! On the right day at Sandy I think it is now within reach after another 46 the other day in quite mild conditions.

I'd be happy to break the 40knt wall. I have knocked on it twice with 39.02knt and again at 39.64knt peak and then a 40 5x10 would be nice.
I'm not holding my breath

I seem to be improving by 3 knots per year: 24, 27, 30 and now 32.5, so I guess I should aim for 35!
35 seems to be the new 30 in that it takes a bit of a technique breakthrough to get there.

My immediate aim is for a lovely smooth fully planing gybe.

2 sec target? I guess if I want a 35 average, I should aim for 36+
Got to update my gear this year, soon as I find that magical job (or win the Lotto) :)

Chasing the 40kt barrier also, currently at 37.2kts. Hopefully some new kit and a trip to LG will help.

Good luck to everyone for 2014!

Just got over 30kts so aiming for 33kts - 35 would be good but..to catch or beat Windxtasy . I can hope..

also a 20Alpha - I've got 19.6 and I know I've done faster gybes - just too wide to count..Also start to get technical and aim for a few things when sailing -an hour etc..
I just go and sail and try to go fast at the moment.

100 km
Improve my gybe success rate from 10% to 80%.

Loving the SUP-off!! Had the big fat SUP up and planing for the first time on the 2nd with a huge 11.31 2 sec

Good luck with your recovery Buzzy. I was off the water for 10 months of 2013 with a knee then ribs. Injuries suck. Thinking of you.

I've tried but when I do I end up around 60kms and am stuffed. The longest I've sailed is about 80kms in a day. This was at Canton Beach in fairly strong winds and I didn't really try to sail the distance, I was just having fun and taking fairly big breaks during the day videoing and photographing the other sailors out there.

Hehe. I'm not sure either but I reckon it'll be a lot freakin easier if I can improve my gybes and not have to waterstart at the end of every run
