SpeedFortnight dates are........

22nd of September to 6 of October

Matthew will asist you in your accommodation needs
and I,ll help you have fun, drink, do a bit of sailing and fudge your results

I promise to provide.......sand.......cold (Very if from FNQ) water......fun and if your very lucky lots of wind with the flatest water your,ve ever seen.

Go carts, clay targets and surfing may be included.

Please note that this is a fun gathering of like minded people who want to sail and have fun. Sailors of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend, serious ones can come too
As our sand dunes get bigger every year there may not be too manys years left of great flat water with great wind so if your thinking about attending one day,do it sooner rather than latter.

Hey Kato,

The inlaws are selling off the farm (Anne & Phil) and I need to visit before they settle. It may well be the last sail at Iny for a long time.

do I need to register or just turn up sail, drink and fall down. (not necessarily in the order)

If anyone wants to get in some pre speedfortnight practice, this weekend looks like its going to have something for everyone, Fri (Maybe epic) Sat (extreme) and Sunday (just for fun or the first timer) Low tide is all in the middle of the day,so no dawn starts needed. Enjoy

Well I have finally relented to Kato's nagging and I am planning to come - shock horror I know but last time I came Spotty did 50 kts so guaranteed wind. I also remember that Mick gave me a camera to shoot interviews for "Quickly Go Mad". Techno head me turned the camera on when I wanted it off and off when I wanted it on!! Great footage of sand and silence. I wonder why he has not asked me to help out again.

Hi all
How was it today ? Would live to be there . Cast came off my hand today. Should be about 3-4 weeks off getting back on the water if therapy goes well. That should be enough to bring some good wind!! Hope some great times are done in the next few weeks ... Gook luck all!

Me I think, top speed of 48.5km . It wasn,t compeditive at all Great fun even Larko jumped into a cart and had a ball. Rumour has it that Jonny was holding up the back end of the grid. More Friday ,Sat and Sun.
Don,t miss out

Great fun - thanks for organising, Kato. Local knowledge beat me - I had a 48.4 km/h top av speed. Your advice to brake into the chicane at the end of the straight was a PiT crew misdirection.....!
