Please note results group page will be activated by 1st October.
worth the entry fee just for a chance to win a prize! :)
But i cant see how you can have a competition where some people will be sailing dead flat speed courses in strong 30+knts of wind are competing against others in bumpy choppy conditions moderate 20knts, its not really a competition unless you break it down to state/spot/locations.
Those that sail in speed course location/conditions have it won before it even starts.
unless I'm missing something??
^^^^^ Why??? Not much wind in Vic ATM ![]()
and this timing might favour the northern states ![]()
. Have it in Feb when we're all at LG ![]()

I want to go to one of those flat water NM speed strips, but they are all too far away from me. ![]()
Lets see.... Flat water speed spots with proven mid to high 30's, NM form:
Lake George SA, Burrum Heads QLD, Budgiewoi and Primbee NSW, Fangys and Albany in WA. I can't think of any in Vicco, but there may be one with potential not tapped. ![]()
But I also think it is very cool if someone is able to crack close to a 30 NM on more open water, and there are those out there who can do it. I shall be watching with great interest. ![]()
Just to clarify: The competition runs for the whole month of October? But one must register entry before the 15th of October. Is that correct?
Thanks for organising, should be interesting to see where the good nm's are to be found, hope the wind gods give us an October westerly for primbee
otherwise it's a bumpy ride nm, even more fun ![]()
Swan Bay
Ah yes. how did I overlook that. ![]()
I understand it is about is fickle as the Burrum Heads Run! ![]()
New speed spot opening soon in Busselton WA. Geo Bay speed course, roughly 18km long with a mix for speed & bump and up & down wind angles. Tix selling fast and limited spots available

Yes that is correct, runs for full month but you need to register by 15th. Also need to have uploaded at least two tracks to be in the draw.
--------------------------
In order to be eligible for the GPS prizes, competitors must load at least two tracks to the competition during October 2018. Locosys and KA72 are providing three GW-60 watches and five GPS-Walker loggers for this competition.

Good stuff fellas. Lets have a crack at a double figures speed next. After the MM Albany chapter got caught sleeping and eating doughnuts at work during the week, I am working on the Pinna Proof Fence today to make sure the Mandurah Mobbers can add this one to the trophy cabinet.![]()
