Nose protection - Is there a board manufacturer who will make allowances?

Firstly Boston, fully agree, as you know. My boards have been exposed to mast strikes and before I ride a new board I always use hotmelt glue and some foam to protect it. Lastest advice is 1m x 1m x 20mm EVA foam floor mat from bunnings.

1. I disagree! The flat noses on 2021/2022 boards pierce the water quite well!


2. Most of my catapults are at or near top speed, not just planing speed!

Seriously, you are deluding yourself by saying you can sink the nose, at top speed, by crashing your rigs mast onto the nose.

It's the FOIL that stops you, not the rig slamming into the top of the nose.
