Time to clean up all the old wax and rewax, as there isnt much on the horizon I recon

Yes - well I just spent the last two days fixing dings (badly cracked swallow tail) and cleaning the board - even wiped the leggie down, got the fluff out of the velcro and washed out the board cover!! Now where are the waves?!

See there is the problem, you did it too fast, you have the whole of January to do it

I agree GPA, did the same drive this morning too! City beach was ankle high with knee high sets, yet had about 15 people all shoulder to shoulder near the rocks. What a joke!

Well, it's complete sh!te today... where's that forecast 0.8m @ Cott (showing 0.6m on the graph)...after yesterday's strong SW'ers?? Was going to head north, but after seeing the wind thought better of it...

Trigg Point is a washing machine of waist high junkers and full of kids... it's white-capping everywhere through to Scarbs.

Nothing at Metts. Not even a boring Mal wave. No one out.

Toms has about 15 guys chasing chest high sets - but it looks rocky.

Well, the graphs say that the swell has come up a touch... but nothing's getting thru - a pack of locals 'enjoying' a knee high peeler at City Beach, and 1x SUP and two long boarder chicks waiting for sets at Tom's...

The Point still has a dozen or so crew packed into the corner near the reef, but it looked very average.

Here's hoping the wind drops for tomorrow...

Body bash at trigg last night and there are/was plenty of stingers in the water, copped a few across the face but lucky they are not the burn your eyes out stings just the anoying 100's and 1000' pin pricks...

They're back, huh? Were they the same type I came across last week - not the typical little box-shaped stingers but like the white/opaque river jellyfish? I.e. about 8-10cm diameter and round?

Yep the bigger 8-10cm round buggers, heaps in the water but most of the stings coming from broken tentacles? on the surface.

Went on a very fruitless two hour search today. Kind of knew from the start I wouldn't find anything, but with good weather, good music cranking and Yelo cafe coffee, I'm not one to complain.

Beats working for a living.

^^^
Can we cull the stingers... went for a snorkel at Nth Beach and flipper'd our way towards Tom's - lasted about 15 min - the amount of those big buggers was a concern - especially with a dive mask on and you can see the 30-40cm long tentacles trailing behind them....

Funny thing was 2-3km up the road at Marmion there was none and we were in the water for nearly an hour...

Visibility was variable from 5-8 out of 10 depending upon where you were (strangely there was quite a bit of swell movement happening).

Yeah, that shiz was pathetic. We should just be grateful for all the nice banks rolling through, no matter how big they are.

Today is flat, flat, flat. You know it's flat when you see more sups than short boards!

I took a punt the other day and scored, report wasnt saying much but a couple of little indicators made me think there might be a wave, turns out I was right.

Left about an hour before sunset with it still offshore and fun waves coming through, only a handful of crew out which was good as well, thought it might have been packed, gotta love those arvos sessions!

Fished the same stretch of coast last night, got smoked big time by possibly a bronzie as i got bitten off previously and have caught them them before, damn it I missed out on flake!

not having a crack but most of you guys driving for 2-3 hours around the flat beaches of your local, could actually be placed in some pretty good waves if you drove north or south for the same time.
