Surprisingly awesome session. The waves I got just seemed to often line up nicely with all the S in it. The wind and rain made paddling interesting. I was sorely tempted to go and spectate doggie and everyone else at the usual spot. I'm sure there would have been 100 people out. It actually might have been a good day for a day trip, although I'm not sure how crowded the area I'm thinking about gets these days.

Are you East of WOz? I only had the luxury of checking a couple of breaks. Not nice.
Only saw 1 guy out, and he wasn't having a good time.

Big ups to you though, random fella! Your hard yakka didn't go unnoticed.

Phew, 18 hours in seven days.

So how many hours did you clock up with all the sh1tty weather we had last week Legion?

I dunno, I kind of lose track. Somehow managed six hours on Saturday/Sunday. I don't think I surfed much last week but I maybe did on a couple of days? This week's looking ok, tentatively pencilled in at least a few days with a couple of definites.

Is there some kind of secret spot that pumps in 15-30 knot onshores that I don't know about?

Or are you one of those blokes still trying to paddle around when the rest of us have put our kites/sails up

Yeah, it's called Pt. Wa..er (insert whatever letters you think are appropriate). It's always offshore on one side and if you wait long enough a big enough boat will go past to generate a wave. Also nearby Chi..l.y Pt is good, and appropriately named at this time of year.

Zuke knows I love the onshores.

Yeah, I thought you'd be loving those conditions and this week has Legion written all over it again. I nearly headed out yesterday afternoon but the wind was just a little too strong unfortunately.

It's all coming back - I definitely surfed Thursday, four hours. But I think I had a break from Monday to Wednesday. And I think I took Friday off too?

Legion is it just because Cott only has waves during storm swells?

Thanks for the tip re Pt Walter. Do you have any trouble with the boats when paddling out from the Mozzy Pk side?

Surfed some fun waves in the deep south over the weekend, not as big as was during the week but nice to have longer rides for a change, water was bloody cold especially with the outgoing tide sucking river water into the line up!

Surfed til I was buggered then had beers and a feed with the boys and watched the footy - repeat the same process for 2 days - unbeatable!

bene, it's because I try to make the most of opportunities as they arise.

For instance, today I'm Eddy Raven if the wind holds direction:

That's epic, Mitts. I haven't surfed that little wave for many years, but I occasionally think about it. Except it's not so little in that picture.

Had that place pretty good size in April, whole bay was closing out at the time and noticed only 2 blokes out.

Snuck through the shorey somehow and had a couple of waves, felt like I was being watched from underneath so bailed after about an hour!
