The dream is over..wonky closeouts this morning.

Pretty good week overall though, not too many weeks I get to surf 4 out of 5 days!

Not where I was ... copy of yesterday, just smaller and less consistent.

Northern novelty break not quite doing it... 20+ out waiting for wonky shoulder high wedges... looks like the tide is a bit full, but suspect it has more to do with the swell direction. Watched for 20min and did not really see anything to tempt me...

Smot has some BIG bombs coming through... at least 2x head high. Single wave sets and the inside section gets way fat so the boys are getting out ok. Fun to watch that size holding up at a metro beachie.

The irony that everywhere's pumping besides the place thats suppose to handle the northerly wind the best. Even better, everyone seems so stoked; friendly and chilled. In particularly I watched a grom call his mate to drop in on him and rip up the wave. As they were paddling back out, said mate that was dropped in on was going off telling his mate how good his turns and sprays were on that ride. Now why can't us adults do the same!?

Hope everyone got waves today!

South Cott reefs were the closest to going off they'll ever be. Some nice, sucky take-offs on head to just over head high on the biggest ones. Lots of people out around Cott making for a great atmosphere. The winds weren't strong enough to stuff everything up, but still made it nicely challenging.

Because when adults collide in the water the results tend to be slightly more painful and dangerous.

Did you see the carnage at Smot on the low tide? Quite a few boards in need of repair.
And one Japanese fella. Those guys are in trouble once their leggie snaps.

Yeah - I went back down at 3:30pm and sat there for an hour watching... not quite as big, and not quite as consistent, but still some of the biggest metro waves that I have seen for a long long time. Only 5 or 6 out and one guy was consistently sitting too deep and although he had a go, all I saw was him go over the falls or otherwise bail... still he was out there having a go and I wasn't.

The novelty break was a lot better on the lower tide, but still nothing special and not worth sharing it with 15 boogers and 15 other blokes.

Fscking father's day. Managed a half hour to sneak down and torture myself watching stomping grounds, but that was it.

The ocean is hungover this morning. Checked a couple of metro beachies... Good size, unrelenting and surprisingly straight.

Other spots attracting less swell should be good today. Off to the office.

Still plenty of swell...surfed a place I've had my eye on for a few years, bit seaweedy but fun

Was up in Perth for my sisters birthday yesterday. Rick Ardon's had some hollow bombs coming through. You could of got hell pitted if the 4 foot backwash didn't destroy you

Had a quick little metro beach sesh this morning, was more like a cardio workout and duck diving practice.

Made it out the back after about 10 min, avoided a few bomb closeouts then it was time to try and get back in, bit of a mission but still a good workout ha ha

Had a local break all time yesterday, wind faded away, swell pumped and crew was moderate. Some of the longest rides I have had in a while

Surfed the Beach break i surf up my way. Got out the back and it looked okay but in theory thats were it ended. Washing machine and drift all over, Caught a messy wave and then just spent 10 minutes trying to get the hell back out The sets just kept coming and eventually i gave up and called it a day

Watched for about a further 10 minutes and just no body was getting waves so felt a little less kooky

Had the afternoon of so traveled down to were i thought there maybe a bit of protection from the Northerly. Found the spot with two guys out. One a local lad absolute ripping. They came in and i had Watched for too long but eventually went out. It was untidy but enjoyable waves rolling in. Caught three but sadly duck diving under a bomb that once again went on my head i creased my board SO next wave in

Not happy

Some bombs this morning locally, got a couple of nice ones on my bigger shorty, leaving the fish at home was a good call (except when I had to duck dive )
