Was just me ... very tired from the week at work, mentally and physically drained surf was quite big and sloppy and I was off my game.
Missed the rip to get out again after one wave ... got caught on the inside bank and spent to long trying to get back out.... just not with it today

mmmm we had a narrow section right on the low tide that was ordinary if you got too close lots of foam to deal with until you got wider

Nice surf first thing at the frame - some good quality overhead sets & rides most of the way down the point , Nth held off nicely until the tide drained out & Lance is back from Hospital so took coffee around for a chin wag all is good now

Huey brought me something special for my 46th birthday today. A very rare Northerly swell event we havn't seen since about 2014 which people still talk about in reference to good days at certain places. I was surprised to find a reefie that usually fires on much bigger winter swell working very well with very fun waves with a couple of other blokes out. Got heaps over a couple of hours before the swell started backing off & then I went & took some pics at a place people have been talking about the last few years. It still had some nice waves coming through, small but with great shape in comparison to its short ride closeouts. Took a few pics for about 10 mins before heading home for a few beers. I'll post them in the SB section...too all you guys in the West I hope you scored something special today...cheers

Pic sequence pretty much runs bottom to top, I took pics for about 2 mins before hastefully rushing back to my car to head out. That was a middle size one, there was the occasional head 1/2 set rolling through. Pretty consistent, sets every 5 to 10 mins with about 4 to 8 waves per set which is awesome. We don't usually get sets so frequent & so many in a set

Had a good surf this arvo . Offshore wind and run up tide killed it but still got a few . Never usually bother surfing on weekends and the hoards from Sydney were there . Seems like there's more logs and mid length single fins around than ever along with the funny hats and beards . Pretend hippies from Sydney .

popped up to nth Avalon for no good reason this arvo and had a great sesh with few in the water, over 2 hours and got to try both boards.

Pound for pound it's still the best optic nerve on the north beaches.

SMH, lol nah mate...leftovers, had the family down on Saturday. I organised a couple of beef roasts marinated in red wine, rosemary & garlic for 24hrs. Put them in the slow cooker at mid night after work for 12 hours for lunch the next day. Came out epic. Missus did 5 different salads with 2 types of home made dressing, 2 types of sushi & some nibbly snack stuff to put on rice crackers. Sorry didn't take any pics, but I can put up a pic of whats left in my drinks fridge later today. Plenty of leftovers in there as well...cheers

I'm at work today suffering watching a nice east north east swell fanned by a westerly . It's got a real Autumn look about it and we are coming into the best part of the year and I've got 2 months off to enjoy it along with a bit of hiking and trout fishing .

Just back after knocking off early from work to get a few arvo waves. Found a near empty bank with some nice zippy lefts. Got a few good ones and having a good time before some chick on a clubbie rescue board dropped in. There was no way way she was not going to go and I guess she was just clueless as clubbies are into party waves. I had to straighten out quick which was a bit tricky on the 11 footer and jumped off which resulted in our boards getting tangled up together leaving a fin chop under my board. Just dropped it off to get fixed. Ah well I still had a good time.

At work again today and there's a nice head high south swell running . Looking good for tomorrow hopefully because I'm off tomorrow. Checked out Swellnet and it's saying that is a 1-2 ft North east swell. I think they either don't look at it or just guess.

Got down there to find some OK waist high waves. Was told in the car park the usual " I should have been here yesterday" . It would have been good yesterday but I was at work. Still got a few OK waves. Doesn't matter because my break starts in 2 weeks time and I wont be missing good days then.
