Seems to be the way it's going. I've had logs and old mals and they're not easy boards to ride. I was out the other day and a guy paddled out on a mini pig and it was really flat with really pinched rails and a rolled bottom. He was doing alright on it but looked restricted. Those 8 Ball style boards are easy and fun to ride but the bearded skinny types wouldn't be seen dead on one. It seems to be all about image now.

I thought the 8ball just evolved into an 8'-9' Fireball range 
I have an 8'6" 8ball and love the board...def a keeper.
Looking good for tomorrow. The swell is north east and the wind is going around to the south so hopefully can find a nice bank on the other side
I didn't - it were poo .... stiff pretty much straight onshorey , shame because there is some swell out there 
just got back. shoulder high NE swell but that wind came up stronger than expected from the south east instead of the predicted south west. Still got a few though. Not many out there and it was nice in. The southerly is on its way up the coast.
Yeah I think you're right SM - we have quite a large nasty looking storm cell just about to hit us , coming from the south west

Modern Longboarding has become a fashion parade. Looks over function for the majority of punters these days. Especially with the younger crowd.
Thankfully the southerly has hit and temp has finally dropped. Back to mid 20 ish now.

Perfect conditions early today - unfortunately most of the swell got blown away during the storms last night so it was glassy glidefests with the odd bigger ones every so often
