By the way mate...I wore a springy, since it was 1330 & only planned on a 2hr surf. New wettie is like breaking out of a straight jacket, wasn't in the mood lol Didn't get cold until the psychologist & the silver fox arrived & I had to share....did ya get your new wettie yet

Well the instant bank making machine is at the local beach today..for those that don't know its a sand dredging pumping ship that is sucking sand from the outer beach and pumping onto the beach in the wave zones ... does it create a rideable wave?? ..yes .. the minute it leaves you can surf a new bank ..is it a quality wave? ...no not from what I've seen ..just a peak that is rideable for 30 mters or so ... the seagulls are really enjoying the wild life that is being sucked from the ocean floor and being minced then served to them ..the unseen damage to the marine environment must be considerable .....the next big swell will be the test if the 16 million or so of ratepayers $$ has been wasted ....meanwhile the surfies can get a small benefit from it ..better than what the natural banks have been serving lately....

Well overhead at Nobys reef this morning. Reports were that it was double O/H, maybe not that big, but I am tall. Biggest waves I have ever surfed. You know its big when you look behind and the foam is well overhead.
I was all frothed up from watching the J Bay Open. I took out the 9'6" Sheely board. Nice and heavy for them big conditions.
If I had wings I would have taken off on a couple big ones.

Some nice ones today. Swell picking up. Got some nice head high to slightly overhead waves. The banks are pretty good and the water is not too bad but definitely cooling down.
