In my old home town and thereabouts for ten days. Surfed my childhood local two days ago with a gutless swell an poor banks. It was horrible. Surfed a sucky 2-3 foot reef yesterday which was good fun. Hitting a few other reefs over the next few days which should be pretty good. Biggest crowd so far? Two other people.

Good stuff mate, I used to surf flatties on my own or with just a couple of other people this time of year. Take some piccies if you get a chance 
SDR & a mate of mine surfed my local this morning & he introduced me to SDR who's a good bloke. Unfortunately the surf was not so good 
perfect winter day ..
clean small easterly swell hitting the beaches ...good for practicing reos on the closeouts ..
..the sand pumping barge hasn't done anything noticeable to the banks yet ...
Been up the bush for a few days but south swell here and nor west wind tomorrow so looking good. Will have to surf in boardies. Still dont have a wettie 
Went out this morning and got myself a new steamer. It's a Vissla. Never heard of these before but its nice soft rubber, taped with a nice warm lining and batwing and it was 280. Went out into clean offshore waist to shoulder high peaks. Very nice but a little crowded. Water still pretty nice in.

...Willy's been wrong just about all week with his wind predictions, unfortunately not for the better until today. Devil wind in the morning swung round to the best direction at 9. My usual spots were poop, so popped down the road a bit to a reef I hadn't surfed in 4 or 5 years. Sand must be in all the right nooks & crannies & the swell & tides must have been in alignment coz it was heaps fun. Even got a little grab rail barrel on a set wave. Stoked to have a couple of extra local spots working at the moment

Hey SMH what model did you get 7 seas or north sea?
Its figging cold here are the moment I am looking at a 3/2 with the furry stuff normally use a 4/3 ripcurl

Smaller and bumpier today with weekend flappers. Still got a few ok waves on the 11 footer. Happy with my new wettie.
another perfect day...swell chest to head hi on the sets .nice work out paddling up the coast in clear water ....got 2 closeouts

very hectic setup atm.
took the bsq out for a run after a month or so left in the bag . but changed it after 2 waves.
straight to the consignment rack at cooly pool room
Took the longboard out at the local but it was a bit funny. Shifty peaks a little difficult to get on out the back & then I hurt the soft tissue in my left ankle landing hard on a freefall floater. Sound the board made landing had me thinking I'd snapped it or my ankle. I went in & grabbed a shortie. Just dodged sets & caught wave after wave of fun waves on the inside...ankles all blown up & dodgy now, but nothing a few beers won't fix

Awesome sesh with Bec & Climber on the mid North Coast today....was just picture perfect
It was fun Great to catch up the SA and Bec ... great as always to surf with friends
Surf was a fun easy wave,.... big crowd though ..heh SA

Looks like a nice place
Just went for a walk /surf check. Ideal conditions but tiny and very inconsistent. Will have another look tomorrow.
